Yup i agree with that assessment.

I think i also heard or read he didn't have a single carry go for a negative yard this year. If true that's insane.

Went back and watched some more Jones and Sony tape. Originally I wasnt feeling Jones but the more I watch him man he has some fluid hips and turns on a dime.. better than Sony.. Cant wait to see the 40 time on both this guys and Jones looks like the better receiver too.. Man I wish he had 10-15 more lbs to him...

What the thoughts on walton seemd way to small for an NFL rb to me? I seen him listed anywhere from 180 to 205 why so much difference?

I think the combine numbers on Walton will be crucial. Weight and BMI. Kid has a ton of skill but he does seem on the small side to me.

The more I watch Chubb, the more I fall in love with him. The man is such a darn good runner. Maybe not a pass catcher, but if he can at least pass PROTECT, then he can be a star.

Yea I think a lot have been discounting Chubb likes he’s not some beast runner. Cause he is and he’s a lot faster than most think

My thing with Chubb is he will only get better. Still recovering from knee surgery I feel like he will still improve his agility and speed. I really like Chubb and definitely feel like he is being undersold right now.

just finished watching a bunch of guice, I have him at 2, but I dont see how is is considered so much better than michel or jones. good size, good speed, good moves, great balance. Only thing he really has on jones or michel are size and balance, if he caught the ball more (not that he had bad hands, just that he didnt get thrown to much) I'd move him further ahead of Jones and Michel, but as of now Guice is the top of my second teir followed by Jones, Michel, Kelly, Chubb.

I really hope Guice or Michel really bomb the combine like Dalvin did. Maybe I can get one of them mid 1st instead of early 1st. After Dalvin did what he did at the combine yet still looked good in the NFL I pretty much dont care what they do anymore at the combine. If they fall, let me get them.

Sample size of 1 player over 4 games? Just because Dalvin did it for 4 games last year doesn't mean that everybody in the future can/will be the same. I would still be cautious about a player bombing the combine. They may be able to perform well for some duration of time in the NFL but their deficiencies will likely show themselves throughout the course of the season/career of the player.

I'm sure ignoring the combine completely is not smart. But you also have to take into account that they are getting drilled all day for days straight which is why pro day results are typically better than combine. Trash in, trash out. There's lots of hype for the underwear olympics so their draft stock can gain or fall a lot based off their results. I trust the tape more for the more elite prospects.

As a person who puts a decent amount of stock into the combine this narrative is a little frustrating. The thing that got ppl was they thought he was this super agile and elusive rb but then tested like a turd for agility. Overall he didn’t test well, sure, but that wasn’t exactly why he dropped so far. His speed was actually pretty good, it’s a myth that he completely bombed the combine.

right 4.5 isn't bombing it is just fine for a feature back - his tape was terrific I thought , I own him no where as I bought the character flaw narrative to much . I also didn't like the landing spot much (due to an over appreciation for lat murray) although he quickly took over the backfield.

I think it depends on the player, Kareem hunt didn't score great at the combine but had one of the higher missed tackles forced of any back in the draft.
If a players only move is to run around players in college but scores average in the sprints then they'll fall short against NFL defenses. I agree dalvin "failure" was over blown, all it takes is a bad couple of days testing or putting on a few pounds to weigh in more and it can throw your whole combine

I agree watching them my only problem is if Jones had 10-15 more pounds Sony would be the one with the better turns. I just wish Sony didn't fumble so much, massive red flag
