i hate this deal very much
Understandable. Context is important. RBs are basically untouchable in my league and so typically are draft picks in the top 5. I managed to keep my first rounder and I think sold high with Alshon at least, and quite possibly with Hyde.

If Guice and Sutton (projected to be my 1.07) put up even equivalent numbers to Alshon and Hyde (and Alshon was a bench player for me) then I think I came out ahead by acquiring rookies rather than players on the wrong side of 27 years old.

Also worth pointing out that I've had the roster to make the playoffs most years and am a contender but can never punch one in. I felt I really need to swing for the fences to try to upgrade in order to win a ship.
If RBs are this valuable, seems you undersold Hyde.
I think the deal is fine. Alshon has to be a runaway for most overrated player around here. The guy just had the same season as Dez Bryant, but in a better situation that can't really improve and will likely regress, and is only one year younger. Yet somehow that means the bottom has dropped out of Dez's value while Alshon's has gone up.

He was a TD dependent WR3 (WR25 ppg) on a top 5 offense that will likely regress some and is getting close to 30 and for some reason everyone is rushing out to buy.

Few Trades, one for Hyde was more of my hope and homerism, the others were with the help of Jim Bean Tennessee Honey, which I think will be fairly obvious. Happy with the guys I got and don't care about the guys I gave, but I wish I would've at least made an attempt to negotiate value rather than "I bet this'll get'r done." But at least I gave up no starters

Team 1: ( Took the ship )
GIVE: DT + Duke + Graham + 2019 1st + 2019 3rd
Get: Davante Adams + CJ Anderson + Jake Butt

Team 2:
Give: Martavis Bryant + 2019 1st
Get: Carlos Hyde

Give: Marqise Lee + Cameron Meredith + 2019 2nd
Get: Crowell + Marquise Goodwin
12 Team PPR 1QB - 1RB - 1WR - 2RB/WR - 1TE

KUPP the Balls
QB- Herbert, Hurts, Newton
RB- Montgomery, RoJo, Lindsay, Michel, Gurley, Vaughn, Foreman
WR- Lamb, Hopkins, Beckham, Metcalf, Cooks
TE- Kelce, Ertz
Picks 1.11, 2.04, 2022 1st

I like the first deal quite a bit. You get a lot younger with Adams and a decent replacement in CJA for trading Duke.

Did not involve me...but here’s a blockbuster...

And yes it’s a superflex.

And yes I know there’s a superflex/2QB sub but I thought this was blockbuster-y enough to be posted here too.

16 team superflex, .5 ppr

Team 1 gave up Zeke

Team 2 gave up Cousins, Gronk, Jeffery, and Ajayi

At first I was like WTF that’s a massive overpay for Team 2. But after looking at it, it’s not bad. Jeffery and Ajayi don’t do much for me, but they could be startable players on some teams (they are startable for Team 1). Gronk I like but his injuries and retirement talks make him unreliable. Team 2 also has Kelce, and due to starting requirements, it’s hard to start both Gronk and Kelce because the only flex we have is the superflex. Cousins in my opinion was the most valuable piece on the package side and he has questionmarks as well.

My thoughts are that sometimes you gotta pay to get your guy, especially when that guy is Zeke. What I thought was a clear overpay at first...but really isn’t bad considering team makeup.

This was my thinking.

I also don't think I was particularly undervaluing Hyde because it's just that coaches get stingy, they don't value them any more to trade, you just can't pry them away. We have very little actual trading in a year (only 3 all last season). I think 1.02 is likely to outscore Hyde even this year and will be 5-6 years younger at this point.

I've never been a Jeffrey fan, and sell him every time I inherit him, but if he truly was injured for all of last year, gives reason for optimism.

Where I have Burton, I wouldn't sell for this pick, but that probably more a function of me scrambling for a startable TE for years.

Optimism yeah, or more reason to sell high since he is having surgery and has had very few totally healthy seasons. The Eagles have a lot of weapons and while the talent is there, I don't think he'll have the combination of health/volume to consistently put up WR1 numbers. I would also be surprised if the Eagles don't add another WR in the draft which could provide a lot more competition for targets than Torrey Smith.
