100% agreed. Guy should have just stepped away from the computer after he bought Evans, Gronk & Julio for peanuts. Was killing it up until that point.ManhattanProject wrote: ↑Wed Jan 17, 2018 11:04 am The trade I'd assume. Doesn't make sense to me Arob way over kupp and giving up a promising prospect in godwin.

Re: 2018 Off-Season Trade Thread
I was dropping players anyway. I have Kupp as PPR machine as early as 2018, so I was willing to overpay. I know ARob's ceiling, but if he's stuck with Bortles I see years closer to 2016 rather 2015. Also didn't want Evans AND Godwin.
Julio is a big up and down producer on a game-to-game basis. So is Mike Evans. I feel like AJG/Evans/Kupp as a 1/2/3 will be pretty consistent week-to-week. I didn't win all the transactions, but my receiving production will be vastly better, IMO.

Arob was with Bortles in 2015 though too. They had serious issues as well outside Bortles last year. Now they have a stable running game to prop up Bortles. AJG/Evans/Arob sounds so sexy!

Re: 2018 Off-Season Trade Thread
Kupp seems like a good player, I was a bit of a hater but he impressed me this year. Despite that, he still strikes me as a high floor/low ceiling, JMatt type of guy. Useful in fantasy but not really a guy to go out and target with an overpay (at least how I perceive that deal). Kupp is never going to be a 1400 yard 14 TD guy. Not saying ARob ever gets there again but we at least know he's capable of it. Hard to believe but ARob is actually younger than Kupp too.John Paul wrote: ↑Wed Jan 17, 2018 11:19 am I was dropping players anyway. Sidenote, if Rams actually do franchise or resign Sammy I think that it's worth considering that McVay wants Goff and the passing attack to grow into something greater than the short and intermediate focused system that fed Gurley, Kupp & Woods this year. Just a thought, clearly it's pure speculation.
For what it's worth I would have preferred to drop Eli, Keelan Cole & Gerald Everett rather than give Godwin away for free. Honestly you practically paid the other guy to take Godwin off your hands. Guy was sneaky good this year on relatively low volume and oozes upside, even if he's sharing targets with Evans.
Just my honest opinions. Either way you've got a solid roster there buddy so no worries.

Re: 2018 Off-Season Trade Thread
That is one of the most bizarre list of trades I've ever seen. If it was just fleecing half the league that would be one thing. But fleecing a bunch of guys and then turning around and getting fleeced yourself is just weird to see.

Wooooow. You fleece your trade partner in trades 1-3, then get fleeced yourself in that last trade. The league of fleecers.John Paul wrote: ↑Wed Jan 17, 2018 10:41 am Traded 1.05 for Mike Evans. I got next to no production from my receivers last year. That shouldn't be the case in '18.
