Trade 1:

I gave- 3rd round pick, 7th round pick, Mike Davis

I received- Nelson Agholor

Trade 2:

I gave- 2nd round pick, Nelson Agholor, Blake Bortles

I received- Mark Ingram

Trade 3:

I gave- 3rd overall pick and Mark Ingram

I received- 1st overall

😣
So net was the 3rd overall, a 2nd, 3rd, 7th, Davis and Bortles for 1st Overall. Thats cheap and I'm not on the Barkley hype train

Yeah I like it. This is how you wheel and deal. I tried trading Dez for what I knew would be an early 1st (ended up 1.02), but the owner hates Dez. So I traded Dez for Derrick Henry, then flipped Henry to the owner that rejected Dez.

Yeah, I am really really happy with the outcome, but it took forever and I had a massive headache afterwards. I asked which RB in the league you would want regardless of team to add to the deal. Then I made the arrangements. Thankfully, there is very little consensus on Ingram, as the guy I traded with thinks he is a guaranteed top 10 back next two years at least. The guy I acquired him from got him in the offseason for a lower 2nd round pick, so he got a free Agholor and for some reason likes Bortles. The original guy just wanted Ingram off his team for any pick.

Not necessarily. It's basically like trading the 1.09, 1.10, and 1.11 for the 1.04.
It's one of those deals where one could argue Crowell/Collins/Lee are the equal to the 1.09/10/11, but you also wouldn't be surprised if two of the three (or all of the players) were roster cloggers a year from now (Lee being the exception for me, even though I own and like Crowell and was impressed by Collins)

That's what I meant by saying those 3 are similar to 3 late Firsts. I would trade all 3 of them if someone offered me 3 total Firsts, absolutely. But any one of those guys could very well go for a late First. You don't think anyone would pay the 1.10 for Crowell, or Lee, or Collins?

No, maybe Collins from an inexperienced owner but a couple months from now it will be impossible. Crowell and Lee definitely aren’t getting late 1sts right now.

Maybe Collins, but not Crow and Lee. Maybe "anyone" is a stretch, but I think it would be only a small minority that would be willing to give up 1.10 for either of those two.

Because Mahomes is a gun slinger on a high powered offense in a stable organization. You'll more than likely kick yourself in a year or two after you cut or trade whoever you take at 2.07.

That's a fair point  Mahomes could be special.

I justified it to myself thinking I have greater needs at other positions and assuming I can take another rookie QB in the late 3rd in what is supposed to be a strong class of QBs.

It's not necessarily a bad deal considering you don't need him in a 1QB league, but I think you might've been able to get much more had you waited until he was the starter.

Yep that's probably fair there is a ton of buzz & hype around Mahomes as the starter. Keep in mind I took Mahomes at 3.10 in our league's rookie draft last year so my league mates just might not value rookie QBs all that highly.

As Ditka pointed out its the timing. Wait till hes announced as the starter and maximize his value. He looked pretty good vs Denver. And that was without the starters around him.
