I'm a big Penny and Cooper guy, but five me Coop over Penny straight up easily. A year from now people are going to remember why he was the 4th overall pick, IMO.

Re: 2018 Off-Season Trade Thread
Team A gave a player being drafted in the first and a player I'd value towards the end of the first for a QB, a scatback and a rookie who'll be fighting for the #2 spot in an offense with a ton of questions.BigBawseRoss wrote: ↑Mon Jul 16, 2018 5:40 amayyyyy it finally happened!!! good deal in the end. looks like you kept allen as well. this guy must be high on both ridley and mack
Seems like someone's a massive Chicago fan. I much prefer what they gave.

LOL, after Nagy said Howard's a 3 down back. Nah he said he didnt think he was going to have a shot this season and the Steelers situation in 1-2 years scared him.

Doesn't change the fact that at the current value, that trade is atrocious. That's not worth trading Brown for straight up, let alone moving Kupp as well. He clearly does't know value, despite supposedly having superior skills in "premonition".Bot101 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 21, 2018 10:24 pmNah he said he didnt think he was going to have a shot this season and the Steelers situation in 1-2 years scared him.

Re: 2018 Off-Season Trade Thread
I hated to give up Cooper but I needed a RB badly and already had Hopkins and OBJ at WR so I figured I could afford to make the deal. Have two 1sts next year so will hopefully be able to replace Cooper then.FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Sat Jul 21, 2018 9:57 pmI'm a big Penny and Cooper guy, but five me Coop over Penny straight up easily. Re: 2018 Off-Season Trade Thread
I think Coop bounces back. He's too good not to. His drops are concentration drops, and playing with a hurt QB really wrecked his season (and a terrible OC). That being said, I think Penny is a legit NFL back, so I am really torn. I just think it would be a straight up at worst deal for you, moving Coop fro who I consider the 1.02, but most don't feel Coop is worth that after a down year. I think both these players are guys you want on your team, and I can see you're a Hawks fan (and I am a Raider fan), so I don't fault you for it. I was big on Penny pre-draft, and a lot of research I did confirmed he was the 1.02 when the Hawks drafted him there at RB. (I had him in a 2nd tier behind Barkley with a few others my pre draft top 4 was the same players, but in a different order) and I think Penny will be a legit threat with the Hawks for years.Vendetta wrote: ↑Sat Jul 21, 2018 10:39 pmI hated to give up Cooper but I needed a RB badly and already had Hopkins and OBJ at WR so I figured I could afford to make the deal. Thats almost exactly what I said. That trade was bad even without Kupp.FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Sat Jul 21, 2018 10:38 pmDoesn't change the fact that at the current value, that trade is atrocious. Re: 2018 Off-Season Trade Thread
Looking at this trade again, I hate it even more. I don't know if there's something unusual about the league- 2QB/SF, heavy RB values, training squad. I can't figure out where the person who got that Trubisky/Cohen/Miller put the most value. It can't be Trubisky in a 1 QB. Cohen doesn't deserve being the primary piece as a faster McCluster. Even if he's Chris Thompson, I wouldn't part with these pieces.FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Sat Jul 21, 2018 10:18 pmLOL, after Nagy said Howard's a 3 down back. I'm worried the value of this return is in Anthony Miller. I liked him as a prospect, but hate the landing spot- Howard, Cohen and Burton are all fighting to be the #2 guy behind Allen Robinson. Even if Miller beats guys like Taylor Gabriel to be the #2 WR, that's too much competition to give up these returns.
