History in the making? Has any other team ever had 2 of the top 4 or top 5 picks in the NFL draft?

Also Hue Jackson becomes coach with worst ever 2 year span with 1-31.

I think the colts had two really early picks maybe somewhere around 1993? Steve Etman DT at #1 nd Quentin Coryatt LB at #3??? Totally off the top of my head. Those names, positions and year might be off.

I don’t see how the Browns don’t go QB #1 overall, and then the question is if Indy takes Barkley with the 3rd pick. I know they need O-line help, but they’ve been looking for a RB since Edge. In my mind they trade the pick to a WB hungry team (depending on what NYG do) or take O-line or RB.

Unless Cleveland somehow lures a QB in Free Agency, I don't see how they can afford to pass on a QB with the 1st overall selection. Simple fact is that they've traded when they could have taken Wentz and/or Watson. They've burned any leeway they have with their fan base, and frankly, the fans are right, as the Browns showed complete ineptitude at scouting the position and passed on two of the biggest young stars at the position in the league. They have no choice at this point...they can't pass. Frankly, even doing a move for AJ McCarron would be considered an insult to the fan base at this point, even if that's what Hue wants. But...Browns gonna Brown.

You get the feeling the Giants are in too ripe a situation not to take a QB at #2, assuming Darnold comes out. While RB hasn't been pretty, and Barkley could help them potentially turn things around, you got to think a new GM will take the QB to build his future (assuming he see's him as worthwhile...and if not, trade down to someone like the Jets or Broncos who may?).

Colts at #3 feels like Bradley Chubb as it is a more premium position, team need, and that RB has depth to fill that void. I'd be shocked if they went Barkley.

If Barkley is there at #4, I would expect them to take Barkley and really sell the sizzle to their fans. It could be what they've waited for, and at least would give the sex appeal they need. Barkley would be nice behind the OL they put together, give their young QB support, and be a fine value given the caliber as a prospect.

All that said, this is the NFL, so it is likely none of the above will happen.

As to the OP question I had to check for the year but who can forget the Chicago Bears 1965 draft Dick Butkus with pick number 3 and followed up by Gale Sayers at pick number 4. Obviously fewer teams in the league back then but you might not find any better tandem of two top 5 picks by the same team in the history of the NFL draft
