I really hope we take one of: Quenton Nelson, Saquon, or Chubb.

Any OT would be a mistake, Roquan Smith would be a reach, and it's way too early for a 2nd RB or a WR/TE. Minkah is a stud but he's redundant since we have Hooker. Derwin James is sooo overrated.
If I’m a Colts fan I am VIOLENTLY rooting for them to trade back and pick up as many picks as they can.
what do you think colts do at RB? Gore retiring? And if so, do they try to draft a 3 down back to compliment Mack? Or are you of the belief that he can carry a full load.

if in fact mcdaniels takes the job the colts rbs (emphasis plural) will all have value but he will employ several just like last few years w/ pats .
each will have their role to play but week to week much harder to cipher. Mack better hold onto the ball he he will be elsewhere.

I think Mack could be a lead back who would benefit from a short yardage/early down counter part. He was better than Gore this year and was one of the better backs in the league catching the ball.

In what way do you believe he was better than Gore? To the eye test, Gore was kind of a low-key stud yet again this season. Dude was constantly pushing for extra yards and not leaving anything on the field.

Yeah I'm with lukky here - in what world was that in? Gore looked like he found the fountain of youth this year - Fitzgerald style. Mack also had trouble hanging onto the ball. He seems to be headed toward the 3rd-down-back realm which I personally loathe and always have higher expectations for the young RB's I draft (albeit why I missed out on Kamara).

Oh, I wasn’t impressed by either of them on the ground but I thought Mack looked really good as a receiver. I think he’ll do better with Luck and a passing offense that can open up holes.

Fair enough.

As a runner Gore has been fantastic, at times looking better in 2017 than he has in years. He's been making yards from scratch since arriving in Indy, and essentially making ZERO mistakes.

Mack is certainly the more "talented" pass catcher and athlete but that boy has got to learn the fundamentals before he can run off and be the next Shady McCoy.

Yeah, I went back and looked and Gore (despite the low YPC) was really good, with a high success rate.

I think the Browns would be foolish to use 1 of those picks on Barkley. They are nowhere near where the Cowboys were as a team heading into the draft when they took Elliott, so taking Barkley wouldn't even matter the first 3 years. Gotta build up the foundation- linemen, edge rushers, and of course a franchise QB. I think they go Darnold or Rudolph #1. Probably shy from Rosen as he might be a problem child. Use #4 overall on an OT- Joe Thomas won't be there forever

If they go QB it won't be Rudolph, that's for sure. And while I agree they would love to shore up a young OT stud, there isn't one in this draft. The only lineman worth drafting in the top 10 is Nelson, a Guard.

To me, when you see guys like Kareem Hunt, DJ, Kamara, Bell, etc be successful as Non-1st round picks...what's the need to draft an RB 1st or 4th overall?

Traditionally, I like to buy low on players attached to these sh!tty teams, and although his time is running out, I just can't get behind investing much in a team coached by Hue Jackson. I know Kizer wasn't a perfect prospect to begin with and I liked his selection by Cleveland but to me, Hue did everything backasswards in developing the kid.

In my 2QB league, I will probably look at a QB in R1 or early R2 but I'm going to be hesitant with whoever goes to CLE for now.

The more I think about it, Cleveland should trade one of those picks, or at the very least use 1.01 on a non-QB.

You’d have to think they could get a ton of value just by moving back from 4 to 6 or 11 or so.

Also, if Allen is their guy, they shouldn’t take him 1.01.

Todd Haley in Cleveland.
This makes me feel better about Barkley going there. And for my other shares in Browns players.

So basically make the exact same mistake they do every year. Trade down to add picks but end up drafting one of the QBs that isn't a franchise talent. That's how they've been losing for almost 20 years.
If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.
