Well, his felony from resisting arrest while drunk at a music festival has been dropped as well. 0 felony charges against him now, just some misdemeanor traffic violations he'll likely get a fine and maybe community service for. I think at this point he merely gets a 2 game suspension for "conduct unbecoming" at most so if you held or bought him for dirt cheap you should be alright

Unfortunately, I think him getting off basically free with the wrist slap doesn't help him long term. It only reinforces that he's invincible and above the law. Hope it was a wake up call that he needs to mature, but I doubt it

The dude is talented for sure. If he puts up numbers his value will be similar to Gordon. Everyone wants to own him but not pay anything more than a 2nd and won't sell for less than a first

Although i do think the difference between Anderson and Gordon is one has a substance issue and the other an idiot issue.

I guess a slap on the wrist is fair punishment for alleged conduct to be coming :nono: Eye just can't see it happening. (Neither did the officer's wife)

Robbie is better when living on the edge & going off the deep end. Eye look for him to go deep about 6-8 times on the field in '18 and about 2-3 times off the field again. Will Put up around 200-220 pts in a full PPR lg .

Eye stuck in his corner through it all after recognizing his ability as a late season bright spot hooking up with the legendary Bryce Petty for several big plays. Doesn't matter who is at QB or DB ... the man has jets & is a JET that can handle some turbulence. Doesn't matter if it's Darnold or darn old Josh McCown , all they have to do is launch it and Anderson airlines will fly up under & retrieve it.

What is Robby Andersons value

Postby joeya2001 » Sat Aug 11, 2018 2:01 pm

In a super flex or what pick would you pay for him?

I reached out to a owner and asked if is for trade.

If I offered a player and a second worth it?

I am a Jets fan so I might be a bit biased, I think you’re gonna see a huge range of values here a lot of people are not going to take him seriously.

First off he’s mainly a deep threat so most people don’t value those highly, think DeSean Jackson. Secondly he’s on the Jets so I feel like there’s a built-in negative connotation, third off he’s a knucklehead and has already had multiple run-ins with the law. All this being said his production for the second half of the season last year was super legit he has a knack for catching deep touchdowns it’s not just from the season last year, he did it for preseason two years in a row. In a super flex draft I would value him after the top five QBs the top five RBs Sutton and Moore, so 2.1 seems about right. He was WR 18 in PPR last year and is in a position to take a step forward.

I see a Tyreek Hill type of buying opportunity, I bought Tyreek for pretty cheap last off-season, because people didn’t think you could keep up his production.

Couldn't find a dedicated Robby thread except this old one... soooo... BUMPEH!

Seems like one of the extreme bargain-bin buy-lows out there right now with Quincy taking control of the target share... price check... anyone buying Robby?

I want to believe! I really do. What would you guys give up for him?

My thoughts:

- I want whatever cheap/talented pieces of this offense I can get... Darnold looks like a fantasy mainstay for the next 10 years
- his deep ball metrics / air yards from last year showed a WR with a real talent on the deep ball
- his price is basement level right now

on the other hand... he's one more misconduct away from Martavis, and this target share has everyone spooked. Who is the REAL Robby Anderson?

Thanks for bumping this!
Have him in one league, thinking about offering him for Breida. Other team is a rebuilder, needs WR has lots of Mid level RB. I'm a contender, have 3 big RB (DJ, Hunt, Zeke) but not much depth. Anderson is about my WR6. Anybody have thoughts on this and whether it will work?

Brieda is the leading rusher in the league right now. I don't think it would get accepted.

Pryor is out targeting and out producing Robby for what it's worth. I didn't expect it but it's happening.

I am a Jets fan and believer in Robby Anderson talent since his first preseason. He clearly has deep threat ability in the NFL that is not going away. Deep threat WR'S are not necessarily good fantasy producers due to volume.
The Jets have a rookie QB and they are focusing on the short passing game. This is not Robby Anderson's game and he will suffer fantasy production in this type of system. I do expect the Jets to incorporate Robby more with down the field passing, but realistically that may be later in the season. Even when he is more involved, his fantasy producton is likely limited with the Jets. Despite negative thoughts on the Jets WR group, they are a capable group and I expect the targets to be spread around.

Regarding his trade value, I expect Robby to have low trade value right now. Once he has a big week or two, you can consider trading him for a good return, but not right now based on the first 2 games.
