Ameer Abdullah as the Chargers Rb, curious on opinions of how that would look.....

Melvin Gordon puts up crazy numbers but if Abdullah were in his role, what is his output? By no way shape or form am i implying Ameer is better but just curious if his problem is all about scheme and offense. Gordon isn't setting the world on fire running out of the backfield and has a pretty poor ypc avg but they do a great job of getting him the ball in space. Seems like the perfect fit for Abdullah. I get that he isnt breaking many tackles through contact but i am a believer of him in space making people miss. Feel free to tear me to pieces now. LOL

He'd look nice on the bench I guess. I think Gordon is far and beyond more talented than Abdullah and I think AA would lose yards on just about every play behind that terrible o-line.

I don't think Gordon's offensive line is taken into account enough when his 'poor YPC' statistics are brought up. He may not be the best running back in the game, but he's far better than most give him credit for

This really wasn't to be a knock on Gordon at all. I actually like him. It was more focused on whether that style of offense would benefit Abdullah or not.

If you've watched Charger games, you know Gordon is actually quite good in space. He's got power, explosion, and long speed but he's very good in space as well.

Abdullah is nothing special.

I’m interested in seeing how Gordon does next year when they get Lamp back. And if they draft another lineman early this could be a sneaky good offense. They always seem to get snake bitten with injuries...
