Carson Wentz Thread: Reborn in Indy?

Eagles are worried that Wentz tore his ACL in today’s game. Anyone else feel like throwing up?

Definitely sucks if he is done for the season. For real life and for fantasy.

Think that with the way that Wentz' plays, he's going to expose himself to a lot of injuries. We'll find out tomorrow if it is as bad as initially reported.

He looks EXACTLY like Andrew Luck from 2014. For better and for worse. Hopefully (for his and Philly's sake) he learns a lesson from what Luck is going through, and doesn't try to always be superman.

I love watching Wentz play, he's a baller and obviously there are times when you need to throw caution to the wind and get the first down, etc (Luck scooping the fumble and diving for the end zone against KC on the playoffs 3 years ago, THAT'S when it's ok to put your body on the line), but it's also ok to preserve your body.

Living in Philly and having Wentz...I couldn't sleep last night. Still feel sick to my stomach.

Those of you that are Eagles fans, what are your thoughts on Foles moving forward? The defense seems like they can keep them in games, allowing a league low YPC and 4th lowest in total offensive yards per game. Seems like they may be in the same situation as the Vikings, starting a backup QB with a strong defense and good talent around the QB.

It really is a shame on Wentz. I really think he would have won MVP over Brady if the two were even close in record or stats. As far as Foles is concerned...he lit up the league a few years back in this same offense. I will be picking him up where I can, if for no other reason than to c*ck block opponents.

I'm not an Eagles fan but it's pretty simple... He just assumed to mantle of worst starting QB in the league. Eagles just went from Superbowl contenders to likely facing a "one and done" in their first post season game.

1. Not the same offense. That was Chip Kelley

2. He most certainly did not light up the league. He had an amazingly fluky year where defenders dropped pick after pick and the talent around him made him look great in box scores. He was not a good QB that year. Just like Bortles didn't "get bad" last year, he's always been bad.

Foles looked decent pressed into action in the 4th. Did just enough to win the game. Easy schedules ahead with the Giants and Raiders the next 2 weeks to get him prepared. Definitely not the worst starting QB. Maybe the worst among the playoff teams but still a veteran guy with some ability. Not like Keenum and Goff are that much more proven. Even Brees has started to show some decline. Cam is Cam so the only scary QB might be Russell Wilson but the Eagles would get him in Philly this time.

I think he'll be serviceable as a game manager. Eagles will lean on the run game but there are enough receiving options to help Foles out. We'll also find out just how good Wentz is or if it's the coaching/game plan or the weapons around him. Probably all of the above.

The silver lining for me is I really have a solid chance at sucking some poor local into paying an insane amount for my Super Bowl tickets now. Tough break for Carson though, he was truly having a great year and the Eagles were probably going to make the Bowl. Never like to see an injury to a guy like that especially.

We'll know more later today when the results of his MRI and doctor visit is released, but I read last night that he didn't fall down and was able to finish the walk to the locker room, but that his knee gave out at one point on the way to the locker room.
