Their line was actually better than I expected it to be and the only guy that struck me as just bad was Fisher, who was a second round pick in 2015. I can understand why they would've expected him to be able to hand playing RT. Too bad that he was not even close to ready.maxhyde wrote: ↑Wed Dec 13, 2017 8:25 amShould probably throw Davis on that pile of injured disappointments as well.
It really isn't a problem for me that Ross/Williams didn't play much. I am certainly not ditching them for what people might offer these days. I wish I had waited to buy him until this offseason though. The Bengals have been horrible and they ruined their OLine by letting key pieces walk. Dalton has been under siege and can't get much done in the pocket. Made getting anything deep to a speedster a moot point even if he was playing.
Anyway I still like him alot and will likely buy this offseason where I can manage it

Re: John toss?
It's funny. The last three years, draft pedigree for WR's has started to become practically meaningless.
You could've got:
Adam Thielen - Undrafted
Stefon Diggs - 5th Round
Doug Baldwin - Undrafted
Tyreek Hill - 5th round
Robby Anderson - Undrafted
for practically nothing at some point, during the times you spent high on
Laquon Treadwell - 1st Round
Dorial Green-Beckham - 2nd Round
Devante Parker - 1st Round
Kevin White - 1st Round
Mike Williams - 1st Round
It makes you wonder if draft pedigree isn't that meaningful and is just another word for opportunity rather than confirmation of you actually being really good long-term.

Re: John toss?
You're right - but the problem is picking the *right* late round guy.

Re: John toss?
No doubt, it's all still a dart throw.
However, the recent disappointments should make us all reconsider centering our arguments entirely around draft pedigree. Sure, the NFL knows more than us, but just because the Bengals tell me that John Ross is a Top 10 draft pick, doesn't mean I should believe it.
Re: John toss?
I feel like I have seen some sort of table before that compares WR’s pedigree vs their production and age. It would be handy right about now.Cameron Giles wrote: ↑Wed Dec 13, 2017 8:59 pm It's funny. The last three years, draft pedigree for WR's has started to become practically meaningless.
