Early rookie draft projection: top 10

Postby kris_kapsner » Mon Dec 04, 2017 3:15 pm

I know it’s early. But now that playoffs are getting underway and many owners have missed them, it’s time to start thinking about next year.

Name your top 10 rookies for 2018.
And if you have time, say why.

To me I very much bump up rookie running backs in predraft rankings because to me there more stable and we can get a better read on them before the combine IMO
1. Barkley- obvious pick, lower on him than most but still easily my 1.1
2. Guice- To me he's almost as good as Fournette, been playing hurt some but him healthy is nasty
3. Chubb- Not the same Chubb as preinjury but still pretty good
4. Michel-interchangable with Chubb to me, really good pass cacther
5. Calvin Ridley- my best receiver in this class, look really polished which I value
6. Courtland Sutton- Most people's #1 WR and a top 3 for most as well
7. Bryce Love- Reminds me a lot of Mccaffrey
8. Christian Kirk- Think he's got a chance at going in the first round which means a lot
9. Equinimeous St Brown- that name might bump him up some on draft day for me
10. Damien Harris- profiles as a poor man's Michel to me

Barkley, Guice (chance they flip if landing spot is drastically bad and good)
Ridley, Chubb, Sutton, Love- we will see who separates
Kirk, Washington, Brown, Michel, Penny (like him a lot), Auden Tate (rising)
Freeman- He underwhelmed the last couple years every time I turned on an Oregon game.
Harris/Scarborough (not a huge fan, but I am sure one or both will exceed my expectations)
Justin Jackson, Wadley, Calloway (too many off-field concerns),
Valhalla's Father
12 Team 1PPR 1QB/1-3RB/1-3 WR/1TE/1DST
QB:Brady
RB: Barkley, Chubb, Jacobs, Henry, Mack, Etienne
WR: Nuk, Thielen, Cooks, Diontae, Pittman, Gallup
TE: Henry

Barkley

Guice

Chubb
Ridley
Harris

Michel
Jones
Love
Scott
Sutton
St. Brown
Kirk
Tate

RB landing spots and the WRs in the last group are the wildcards. There is not a lot separating the day 2 RBs IMO, so the order will depend entirely on landing spot after the first couple. For WR, Sutton, St. Brown, Tate, and Kirk are being mocked anywhere from round 1 to round 3 in the real NFL draft. It remains to be seen if NFL teams like them as much as dynasty players, but if they go in the top 20 picks or so, their value shoots up for me.
Dynasty player since 2002.
I probably should have done something more productive with that time...
