Pick 1.02-1.07
Pick 1.02-1.07
What are peoples opinions on these picks upcoming for the 2018 class and how would you compare them to the 1.01. 1.01 seems like the sole top pick with saquon from what I've read, but what about after it. Are these valuable picks and where do u see drop offs in this class? Thanks

Re: Pick 1.02-1.07
I would probably have mini-tiers of Guice and Chubb at 2/3, then Damien Harris and Calvin Ridley at 4/5. There are a lot of good RB prospects, and a lot of good landing spots for RBs, so there should be some solid picks into the 2nd round.
Dynasty player since 2002.
I probably should have done something more productive with that time...

Seems like most have guice at #2. All I hear is about Barkley. Wonder how the rest of the class is looking
Re: Pick 1.02-1.07
It'll be all right. Things will change post-combine and again post-draft. Just like every other year but I think while it may not be quite as good as last year might be better than many others

Re: Pick 1.02-1.07
I'm always a little curious as to why Chubb is so high on all of the dynasty draft lists. I mean, I get that he was phenomenal before the knee injury and that he's looked a lot closer to his pre-injury form this year, but I've also yet to see him on any sort of big boards or mock drafts at this point. In fact, there are some lists that have Barkley, Guice, Love, Harris, Jones, and even Penny over him. Am I missing something here that would put him in the top 2-3 RBs at this point?
Also, even though it's enticing to rank players at this point since a lot of us are figuring out exactly what we have in terms of picks, I feel like the list will change drastically, as it always does, as we progress through the entire draft process.

Re: Pick 1.02-1.07
What boards? He'll most likely be a round 2 pick at best due to the injury. But after he blows up on the national stage in a couple weeks people will start going nuts over him again.Killabrewster wrote: ↑Mon Dec 04, 2017 4:03 pm I'm always a little curious as to why Chubb is so high on all of the dynasty draft lists. Re: Pick 1.02-1.07
I think the #2 pick will end up being whichever RB lands in the hottest spot between Chubb/Guice. I think Ridley/Sutton could make a run at the #2 as well.
It will be a year when the order between 2-8 varies wildly, especially depending on when you're drafting. The order in mid August will be wildly different from the May drafts.

Re: Pick 1.02-1.07
I just secured the 1.02 vs 1.03 in my league by a margin of less than 2 potential points because Mixon got concussed and Martavis caught one last ball late in the 4th quarter ...so will be following this thread closely now.

Re: Pick 1.02-1.07
Should we be at all concerned that Chubb only has 30 catches in a 4 year college career?
Re: Pick 1.02-1.07
This is a huge deal to me for the #2 RB. Most of this year's top RB's didn't really catch the ball. Guice has 29. Love has 29. Harris 26. Even the smaller Ronald Jones only has 31..
Freeman on the other hand...

Re: Pick 1.02-1.07
The not getting passes thrown their way vs. being bad at catching the ball does not necessarily concern me at this point until I dig deeper into it. The same things were said about Fournette and he seems to catch a few passes a game, even a power back like Perine has got a few each game he has been the starter, albeit with Thompson out. Its hard to gauge how they will be used in the pros too, but college receiving production is not the end all or mean they cannot do it. On the flip side, landing spot may determine how much they get used in the passing game even if their hands are fine.

Re: Pick 1.02-1.07
Breaks down like this for me:
Barkley-Guice (I stubbornly still think they're on the same talent tier and would consider situation...slight advantage to Barkley)
Chubb-Sutton-Ridley (in no particular order).
And give me Love-Michel to round out my current top 7. Love looks pretty great, and I keep reading great things about the expectations for Michel as a pro. There's probably 8-10 really good options for these 2 spots though that will probably shake out by situation

Re: Pick 1.02-1.07
For those of us in superflex leagues, there are 4-6 QBs who could be 1st round dynasty picks.
