Alshon deal
This upgrades Alshon for me. Long term with Wentz is awesome.

Re: Alshon deal
Excited as an owner and agree it upgrades him. Only hope is that his soft tissue injuries don't reappear, now that he has gotten paid.

Re: Alshon deal
Any impact here on Mack Hollins? I'm guessing no cause Torrey Smith is probably gone at years end and Agholor looks good out of the slot.
Re: Alshon deal
Kinda figured this would get done. Good fit for both sides. Good for Jeffery taking his shot and getting a good contract

Great offense to be tied to for the future. I think it's huge for Alshon.

Re: Alshon deal
Agreed this is good deal for both Alshon and Wentz. How does this impact Agholor's value? He'll be on my roster bubble when roster's are trimmer pre-draft. Personally, I never expected him to be "the guy" in Philippe next year anyway, so I not sure it changes it much, but would love to hear peoples' thoughts. In a startup draft though, I'm loving Wentz.

Re: Alshon deal
I do think it is a good sign that they wanted him back, but I think this is slightly bad for Alshon. Wentz spreads the ball around too much. Jeffery is the kind of receiver who could be a go-to guy for a mediocre QB and end up with 1500 yards on 160 targets. It should help his touchdown numbers but I think it limits his upside with Ertz and Agholor around.

Re: Alshon deal
After the question marks surrounding Alshon over the last two years I think most owners will be happy that he's now locked in as a high-end WR2 type. Might not ever be elite, but he seems locked in now.Tsunami wrote: ↑Sat Dec 02, 2017 7:57 pm I do think it is a good sign that they wanted him back, but I think this is slightly bad for Alshon. Re: Alshon deal
I absolutely agree, but the one thing is that he is really heating up the past few weeks at least. Probably never going to get peppered with targets or have a season like his second in Chicago. I like his chances at being a high WR2 and lets be honest, not many were treating him as that coming into the year. IF he stays relatively healthy, the next 3 or so years will be good to great.

Smart move by the eagles and good for Alshon's value.
