End of season stashes
Re: End of season stashes
Would you rather have Vance McDonald, Swoope, Vannett, Burton or Gathers for stash? I currently have McDonald.

Enunwa was just dropped, should I grab him? If so who should I drop to pick him up?

Re: End of season stashes
McDonald can block, so he'll probably hang around, but his pan hands are a concern for me in believing he'll ever reach his potential.
Swoope is interesting. Not sure he'll pass Doyle anytime soon, and I don't have much interest in a team's TE2. I also have no idea which direction Indy will go in the draft.
Vannett may move up with Jimmy Graham an FA, but I'm not sure Seattle is ever going to be a great place for TE production.
Burton is a converted QB that is pretty heavily undersized for the TE position and behind Zach Ertz. Best case scenario for him is he gets moved to wide receiver, but I'm not sure he has the speed or skill level to manage that transition effectively.
Gathers has a nice open spot in front of him with Witten looking near the end of the road. He showed well in preseaosn and seems to have a fair bit of hype. He's probably the guy I'd want if only for trade value early next season.

Re: End of season stashes
Jordan Reed is also a converted QB (47 career pass attempts at Florida) who is a little undersized for TE (6'2" 245) . Burton (17 pass attempts at Florida) stands 6'3" 235, plays special teams, and is a UFA after this season. Burtons best case scenario is he gets signed by the Patriots this offseason and he becomes the new, less murdery Aaron Hernandez (0 pass attempts while at Florida, 6'1" 245)ericanadian wrote: ↑Sat Dec 09, 2017 2:31 pm

Full disclosure: I have Burton rostered on 6 of my 8 dynasty teams.
That said, i'd roster Gathers as my first choice, until Burton to the Patriots is a real thing, not just in my imagination. Jason Witten is like 300 years old and his zombie body has to start losing limbs soon.

Tyrell the Gazelle. I believe he is also a FA and has shown he can be a very good #2 with #1 upside. So you never know.

I think Burton is going to surprise A LOT of people next year. New England would be a great landing spot obviously, but I will mention the Rams as possibly even better. McVay was Reed's OC in WAS and McVay just watched Burton score two tds against him.....motherlode wrote: ↑Mon Dec 11, 2017 6:23 amJordan Reed is also a converted QB (47 career pass attempts at Florida) who is a little undersized for TE (6'2" 245) . whats going on with Rico gathers? Has anyone heard any news about his concussion?
Re: End of season stashes
I agree that Burton may really surprise us. I have him stashed just in case....plus I’m an Ertz ownerdm1129 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 11, 2017 2:50 pmI think Burton is going to surprise A LOT of people next year. I like Jake Butt a lot, does anyone else thing he is going to be a quality TE and hold up in the NFL?

Re: End of season stashes
Any reason to roster James Conner? I've had him stashed all year, and am starting to think that was a mistake. Would love to drop him for a guy like Quincy E or Rico Gathers at this point.
