Value of 1.01

Postby Triton85 » Thu Nov 16, 2017 2:14 pm

What are you valuing the 1.01 pick at in picks or players, if your sitting at 1.01 because of poor quality team, not due to a trade, what are you looking to get for the pick..

League mate of mine has expressed interested in trading me the 1.01 pick, currently my 2 firsts are looking to be in the range of 1.02-1.04 and 1.06-1.07, the seconds I have are going to be pick 12-14 and picks 16-17. I'm also debating Arob/Stafford in some sort of offer.

Would pick 2,7,12 be enough to move back if you had pick 1? Or would you want a bigger offer - I know this is probably too early, but trying to gauge it because between wk 17 and superbowl we need to reduce our rosters to 20 - if I can move some players rather than dropping I am hoping to get some value out of it

How sure are you about where the picks will fall? Hypothetically, I would have no issue moving from 2 to 1 by paying the 1.12, and would probably also do the 1.7 if I had to, but not both at this point. A lot could change in a few months.

That is the goal, just wondering what the cost of moving up a few spots would be in most peoples eyes

the 2 first rounds are fairly solid, the 1 belongs to a guy that just destroyed his roster, so will be going 0-4 the rest of the year. The other belongs to a playoff bubble team, so will def be in 6-7

The value of the 1.01 will skyrocket after the draft. If you have that pick, don't move it now.

I am looking to get the pick, not sell it. Our freeze is 11/25 to end of Wk17, then by superbowl we need to drop to 20 on the roster. Ideally looking to package my 1-2 firsts and maybe a player to get the 1.01

The Twitter buzz is the 1.01 could push it's way into 1st round startup range...but if that is supposed to be Barkley it's not like he's lighting college football on fire this year. HYPE HYPE HYPE.

By the time the draft hype is in full swing, Barkley could be somwhere around a Top 12-20 selection in startups.

Personally, I don't like the depth of this class to be interested in more picks for the 1.01. I'd feel comfortable betting on Barkley over anyone else. So, to pry 1.01, I think it would take an undeniable offer.

That's a good offer for the 1.01. But be careful if that pick isn't already locked into the 1.01 and you are just projecting it to be. You would sure have egg on your face if after the season ended this turned into 1.01, 1.07, 2.01 for the 1.02.

I plan to go all-in on acquiring the 1.01 from whoever owns it. Barkley is legit.

I am almost garantee to have the 1.01 in my league with a 2-8 record and i am a big psu fan so i am very glad to be in position to draft my favorite rb and i have no intention to trade my 1.01

Man, seems like this isn't going to be a popular opinion, but I'm not sure I'd be willing to include 1.02.

Barkley is a beast, no doubt, and I get why everyone wants him, but I'm really not sure Guice is far behind. Guice has dealt with some injury issues this season, but is everyone really so sure Barkley is by far the superior talent? Everyone here is really ok with (likely) trading Guice plus pick 6-7 (and more) for Barkley? What happens if Guice ends up in a superior team situation? What happens if he keeps coming on and Barkley keeps tailing off ROS?

If it's me, I'm not including the second pick. If that means I can't get the first, so be it, but I'm nowhere near convinced there's enough talent difference between these two to give up one of them plus a substantial amount for the other

I'd never trade 2,7, and 12 for the 1..

I'd do A-Rob for the 1st overall, but wouldn't add anything else..

Which is why I won't acquire the 1.01 this year.
