I can understand the preferred format style of no kickers or D, but that is not the best solution here, or really even a solution at all to the problem at hand. The pressing matter would be to find an answer for a broken waiver system. This issue could still arise again in the future at QB, RB, WR, or TE, so eliminating D and K doesn't do anything.

Yes. This waiver system is horrible. If a guy has 2 TEs or 2QB rostered, which isn't uncommon to make room for more young stashes at WR and RB, and one is on bye the other injured, he could go to the waivers to pick one up. But if he got outbid he's screwed as now he can't grab a backup plan to start for the week

Yeah, this sounds more like a bad waiver system than actual tanking. Once players clear the initial round of blind bidding, they should be available to pick up for free until kickoff of their game. Problem solved.

Anytime one owner offers his D/K to another owner there is a problem.
