I liked what I saw for the most part. Wish he didn't have to split carries, but the usage was pretty even, kind of like ATL with Freeman and Coleman. I also think Drake needs to have the work split since I remember he has some injury concerns in college, so I'm ok with the split as long as he gets his consistent slice of the pie.

Drake looked like the better of the two backs minus Williams TD. However, I do not think either has much long term value. If I had to pick one guy I would say Drake but it is not an easy choice.

Just curious where everyone is at this point on Drake? He has looked great. Miami drafted him pretty high, anyone think he has any long term value?

He's a weird one because if I remember correctly, he tested out well but just never got the chance to start in college because he was stuck behind Lacy, Yeldon and then Henry. Miami obviously thought they were getting a steal to take him in the 3rd without any history of starting in college. I grabbed him at 2.04 (20th overall) in the DLF PL and I've been pretty pumped to see him get the chance at starting finally. I think even if he isn't the long-term workhorse, he'll have good value in PPR as a 3rd-down back.

What is our opinion of Kenyan Drake? when given the chance he is an absolute stud.
Barkley for President - 10 Teams, 23 Man Rosters, QRRWWWTFDK, Cap is $852 this year and Increases by 5% each year while each players contract goes up by 20% each year. Players can be signed 5 years at a time max unless a rookie, which is 3 if drafted. If won in auction can be 5 years. Can only extend a player once, EX signifies that player is Extended. Devy players count against cap as well.

QB - Jameis Winston EX 2YRS at $42 and Sam Darnold 2YRS at $14

RB - Saquon Barkley 2YRS at $35, Dalvin Cook 1YR at $17, Rex Burkhead 1YR at $4, Ty Montgomery 3YRS at $14, Damien Williams 1YR at $2, Royce Freeman 2YRS at $10

WR - Amari Cooper EX 5YRS at $50, Sammy Watkins EX 3YRS at $60, Golden Tate 1YR at $60, Devante Parker EX 1YR at $35, Kenny Golladay 4YRS at $2

I own Pick 3.9 in a Devy depleted Rookie/Devy Draft.

With his playoff schedule and his performance level, he should easily be considered RB1 status throughout the playoffs.
Players like Drake, are the players that win you league championships.
Start him with confidence.

Glad I can have confidence in playing him for my team 1 championship!

Realistically though, do you think Miami have enough confidence in him to not draft a back high this year? They traded Ajayi which could could be interpreted as they have faith in Drake or they wanted to get value for him now and maybe thought the season was a wash. But after two 100 yard rushing games hes looking the real deal! He's finding the gaps well and making managing to make defenders miss in the backfield and secondary. On top of that he was excellent in the passing game last night.

Is he a hold or sell high?

I wasn't so much given flack from other posters in the Trades thread as much as people were questioning what I saw in Drake when I traded for him in several leagues after Ajayi was traded and he was splitting time with Williams. To be quite honest, I really didn't "see" anything with Drake, I was just buying opportunity with a young RB that had never been given a shot. Sometimes these gambles amount to nothing, and sometimes they turn into key pieces for your roster. For me, Drake is shaping up to be the missing piece on 3 of my teams in the semi's, and with workhorse touches and a decent schedule remaining I'm hopeful he puts me over the top and helps me secure titles in these leagues.

As for whether Drake is a buy or sell, I'll have to wait until the offseason starts and we find out what his general value is. If he's a RB going for a mid-1st + then he's probably a sell for me, but if he's going for a 2nd + a prospect or I can give my very late 1st for him from my teams that made deep playoff runs then I'll continue to buy as many shares as I possibly can.

This is exactly what Ajayi owners said last year except 200 instead of 100. This is the problem with small sample sizes. I'm not buying unless it's a good deal for me.

late 1st this offseason? im not seeing it....but im sure some will. if your buying at that price....id sell.

i drafted him in several leagues comming out, the talent is there imo...but i have major concerns that he can hold up and even more concerns that he's anything more than a rbbc back. alot of rb's can excel with touches....i wouldnt over emphasize the importance of touches in this situation. there is no way this is a guy getting 20+ touches a game for the next few years imo. if he's getting 10-15 touches...how would we feel?

id certainly ride him in the playoffs, just like williams, and collins....but lets not get carried away here.....he's a sell imo.
