Week 7 Survivor

Postby Kaz » Thu Oct 19, 2017 6:26 am

Saw that this hadn't been posted yet, so thought I'd give it a go! I feel like this might be a tough week outside a few matchups, since it has just been such a crazy season. I think I'll try and play it safe with the Cowboys this week myself. Though, I'm sorely tempted by the Jaguars.

I was looking at:
Vikings at home against the Ravens
Cowboys on the road at SF
Jags on the road in Indy

Probably going to take the Jags this week.

^^ This may be the first time in years I have taken the Jags in a survivor pool. LOL

I still have Seattle left so will likely go with them. Giants might have letdown after Monday night plus Seattle coming off bye. But I’m not confident either.

Dallas can be a trap. They might be looking ahead to next few weeks. However, they should win giving they lost last two games plus sf has played three exhausting road games in a row.

I’m hesitant on jags. Bortles as a road favorite is asking for trouble. I rather bet titans than jags. Cleveland just keeps on losing, finding new ways to every week.

Considering Saints, Panthers and Titans right now. Not liking that they're all on the road. The Titans are currently favored by the most (at 6), so I'll probably use them.
12 Team Superflex - PPR, 0.25 PPC - QB/2RB/3WR/TE/Flex/Superflex
QB: L Jackson, Tagovailoa, Rodgers, Pickett, Tannehill
RB: Swift, Pacheco, Sanders, Hubbard, Spears, Dillon, Herbert, McLaughlin, Chandler, Dowdle
WR: DeVonta, Waddle, Aiyuk, Nacua, McLaurin, Hopkins, M Williams, Mingo, Wan’Dale, Hyatt
TE: Kelce, Okonkwo, Schoonmaker

The Saints would make me uneasy. We don't know how good/bad Hundley is going to be. While he has no meaningful NFL game experience, he is far from being a rookie.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if Green Bay won that game and the Monday morning analysis was talking about how promising Hundley looks.

With early reports saying Fournette is likely to sit today, I'm moving my pick. Honey Badgers, let's hope the Titans can run over the Browns this week.

I would never pick a divisional game for a pick'em. I would also not pick against a bad team who's been unlucky (49ers, for example).

My favorite this week is the Bills over the Bucs. The Bills have a great defense and play a Bucs team with QB known for throwing interceptions. Many Bills players know Fitzpatrick very well because of his time with Buffalo & with the Jets. The coach of the Bills (McDermott) has a great record against all NFC South teams since he's played them so many times as a coach of the Panthers. Lastly, the Bills are home and fighting for a playoff spot of which they haven't had in 18 years, and the fans will be rowdy and loud.

Gimme the Bills, and make that my survivor.
