What if...

Postby Phish Brigade » Tue Sep 21, 2010 4:40 pm

What if Michael Vick carries the Eagles to the playoffs? What if they make a run for the Superbowl and win a couple of games? What if Vick is actually in the voting with Peyton for league MVP? What if Vick is the media darling that Brett Favre wants to be a couple of months from now?

I know this sounds crazy don't it? Andy Reid deserves some credit for letting Vick continue as the starter. The fact that so many people wrote Vick off a year ago ( myself included ) when he was signed by Philly and is now the greatest late round flier of the year so far is pretty incredible.

To think that a guy like Vick can comeback and potentially be a hero ( if he keeps this pace ) is absolutely unbelievable. Who da thunkit...

Perhaps early consideration for "comeback player of the year." If he manages to pull a long term contract and resurrect his career, he's comeback player of the decade.

Vick has been very impressive so far but I think some need to realize that this was in very limited action. I like what I seen from him against a solid Packer defense in week 1 but they prepared for Kolb, not Vick. Vick again looked impressive against the Lions who did prepare for him, but this was the Lions after all.

Let's see how he does in the next few weeks before we get too carried away.

BTW, I'm pulling for him...

Would make for a nice story, but I am not expecting it to last.
