Lets talk Buy Low for 2018

Well the obvious answer is all the injured guys: Ware, Edelman, Meredith, Corey Coleman, Dalvin Cook, Carson, Dixon, Enunwa, Fiedorowicz, Tannehill, maybe Kevin White and Allen Robinson. Plus whoever got hurt this week, I haven't checked yet.

There are a lot of top players who are free agents but it's hard to predict which ones will be lieaving. Eric Decker isn't being used well, or maybe he's done. I think Dion Lewis will probably get some interest. Paul Richardson might not be a buy low anymore but if he leaves Darboh could get more time. The Cardinals top 3 WRs are all free agents which might be good for JJ Nelson (and whoever decides to stay) but Palmer might be done too. I'd bet on Colt McCoy being a starting QB, and don't forget about Teddy Bridgewater for those in superflex leagues.

Also, Michael Floyd is playing tonight, and Mike Williams should be playing soon, last chance on these guys.

It's hard to call Cooper a buy-low for 2018, when he still has a lot of season left. He could conceivably turn it around.

Allen Robinson is the #1 buy low to me. People are slowly starting to realize that he was largely responsible for making Bortles look like a competent QB for a season. Robinson is a complete talent and is young enough to marginalize an ACL tear. He could also be on a new team next season with a better QB.

Treadwell a buy low? I own him and would basically sell him for... anything. He’s running WR4 tonight and playing gunner on special teams. So happy I took him 1.03 last year. He’s at the bottom of my roster and I’m about to drop him.

Agreed, he's only a buy low in the sense that you can buy him for much less than his price last year. I wouldn't pay more than a 4th for him

This is probably the fairest view I've seen of him. It's time to stop treating him like an elite prospect. I'd say he's worth a dart throw 3rd. I wouldn't pay a 2nd.

And every player you mentioned saw a solid spike in value when they went to a new team. If you held them then they mostly blew up in your face, but there was still a profit to be made with all those players if you "bought low" prior to their departure. The dynasty off-season is long, there can be big gains by playing the dynasty penny-stocks.

A big reason why I like buying-stashing upcoming FAs like the ones you mentioned is because of how the NFL off-season schedule plays out. FA happens a couple months before the draft, and by that time we've already had a few month lull in the dynasty game. That almost always leads to FAs that find new teams whose value spikes dramatically in mid March. Since there's nothing else going on during that time of year, the handful of players that change teams generate a lot of hype in the dynasty community during that period, warranted or not. It happened to some degree with all the players you mentioned, and I can still remember a decent amount of people that were giving a high 2nd or random 1st for Amendola a few years ago when he signed with NE. Hell, we started seeing it with Burkhead this year, but then that hype train got derailed when NE signed Gillislee week or so later. I have no doubt that Burkhead's value would have continued to climb if not for that.

I'll throw Cameron Meredith on this list as well. Knee injury could have been a lot worse but it was "only" an ACL. I expect the Bears to do something at WR in the offseason, but Meredith when he was on the field was solid.

You're being a bit dramatic to talk about sitting on him "for years". He and Evans were on the same career track all the way up to week 1 of last season. Yes, it's been an extremely disappointing and frustrating 13 months but he doesn't have theoretical potential like a D. Parker or Corey Davis. He has proven to possess all-pro talent and production.

I wonder if he would be ok if the team wasn't so content just looking for Diggs, Theilen and Rudolph. He has been on the field a lot but they don't look in his direction.
