Buy Low Time - Jordan Matthews

Wanted to pick people's brains on him. Someone has just dropped him in my Dynasty League and wondering if he's worthwhile to claim off of waiver as a stash. I have never personally been a fan of him but he would be free to acquire.... Thanks in advance for all info and suggestions.

Never hurts to pick up a guy that has produced at the level he has in the past. Especially if he can get healthier and land with a team that knows how to use him properly. Profile is excellent, the slot issue is weird, and seemingly locked in place, but regardless he has shown himself to be capable of playing WR2 to WR3 caliber ball when things are going well. You don't find that quality sitting on the waiver wire very often. Definitely pick it up in my view.

I have received multiple trade offers for Butt so I have to hold the Lil fella for now. He's a flier and I a mm more than happy to take the chance on him since he cost nothing and agree with what you guys have said.

What kind of offers are you getting?! I understand wanting to hold him in a league with a lot of Bronco Fans but what are the odds he would even be on your roster moving forward if players like Matthews are on the WW. Sell for a future pick and save the roster spot.

Nah no reason to yet. We get 3 IR spots that carry over till our draft next year and usually tons of draft day trades happen on that day. What I get for him now is worse than rostering him currently. People paid heavy for Virgil and Julius and his value should only increase if a QB is drafted or picked up in free agency.

The waiver is barren in a 14 team 22 league with 3 IR. Jmatt was one of those rare anomalies of a drop so I figured I'd ask you all what you thought of it.

Completely agree. His college resume is astounding, with excellent size and speed, plus great NFl production. And he's young. Why is this guy's price low again?

His low price has to be obvious... 4 years in the league without hitting a 1,000 yard season. Will fail to top 300 yards this year. Is headed into an unknown situation this offseason as a free agent... had three surgeries this year ankle, knee, and thumb. Also fractured his sternum.

A lot of his value may be driven by where he lands in the offseason and what his role will look like.

I was thrilled to package him for Brees in a 2 QB league.

There were times when I watched Buffalo this year and both Thompson and Holmes looked better than him. Injury or not, he enters next year as a WR5.
