Latest I'd hold is a day or two past the NFL trade deadline. Either the Saints deal him for any help or they cut him loose.

Hold? Ya, in a league where I've lost Freeman, Cook, Carson, and A Jones, I may have to START Ekeler this week! Back to the point of the thread though, yes I think he is worth a hold in hopes that he carves out a role in the passing game. Rivers has always been one to dump off to his backs to sustain drives.

I did, and I'm glad I have. He's been a better player than Gordon this season by more than just the last game.
And mratlanta, you hold your Eckler with both hands when it's shown this much growth.

I've fallen hard for Ekeler. I can't help but to envision him turning into the new Woodhead for SD. I've attempted to trade for him in almost every league that I didn't already own him, and I succeeded in purchasing him in several of them. I'm officially on the Ekeler hype train. Choo choo!

You sure you're not on ether instead of Ekeler ? That'll make you fall so hard you crash. Same thing for the Ekeler train, after his fumble cost them the game.

I don't think one fumble at the end of the Jags game will spell doom for his career, no matter how costly it was. His snap percentage has steadily increased over the past 4 weeks at the expense of Gordon's snaps, so I don't believe he's a one game fluke that garnered touches due to one specific matchup.

~120 scrimmage yards and 2 TDs, probably not going to happen too often. I do think he works his way into a solid COP role and has very nice PPR upside. I'm in no way suggesting that Ekeler supplants Gordon or anything close to that, but carving out a 10-12 touch per game role could be very useful from a PPR fantasy perspective, and I think it could actually help Gordon out too in the sense that it could keep him fresher. Gordon has been great in fantasy over the past couple years due to volume , but he's been one of the most horribly inefficient RBs since entering the league too. He's not such a world beater that a team can't afford to bring him off the field and allow another back to siphon touches from him on a weekly basis.
