Who are the most talented RBs in the NFL right now?

It's almost useless to rank RBs in a dynasty setting, as a guy like Derrick Henry or D'Onta Foreman could be way more valuable to a rebuilder than a D. Murray or even McCoy might be. Perine vs Gore, or Mixon vs Doug Martin, etc.

So if you were drafting RBs just PURELY on their talent and not situation, who are the most talented running backs in the league right now? As runners and as pass catchers both, who are the "elite" guys? Where are the tier breaks?

Love this idea, I won't get a chance till the weekend but I'll definitely put one together. Wouldn't mind a wr version as I have long thought of aj green as close to the top in talent alone

Now what do you mean by talented. Some on this forum believe talent is being big and fast, so to them Keith Marshall is supremely talented.

I'd assume by talent that he means ability to produce in the NFL if put in a situation where factors like the O-Line, defenses, and other aspects were the same.

If/When CJ goes down Jamaal will be a monster. I don't know how long it will last but the guy is unreal.

Charles still has some juice left but in no way do I think he is currently a top-15 RB in this league. But hey, that's what this post is for - we all got our own opinions!

I mean when you watch games or gamefilm, who do you watch and say to yourself on a consistent basis: dang, that dude is a beast!

So I'm talking footwork, speed, change of direction, trucking ability, breaking tackles, shiftiness, all of it.

to the OP I think you have Gordon too high, maybe Ajayi as well. Gordon appears to be pretty TD dependent. I think you should have Gurley and Freeman above them, and maybe some of the rooks if we're really just talking pure talent.

I don't get the continued Gurley love as one of the best. I get that he was SUPPOSED to be great. He looks like a pretty damn good pass catcher and when he gets past the trenches running against the secondary he's very impressive. He looks absolutely lost while trying to get THROUGH the trenches...and that is...sort of critical...maybe?...for a workhorse RB on a pound the rock team.
