Veto? Please. What's next? I'm waiting for the guy in line behind me to veto my food order because he doesn't like my choice of ham and cheese.

Well, ham and cheese is weak. I have to assume there was something better to be had. 1 vote.
If he gets ham AND cheese, and all the rest of us get ham OR cheese, it upsets the integrity of the lunch line. 2 Votes.

I love when commissioners say they veto for the longterm integrity & competitiveness of the league.

So should the person who picked up Howard, Hill or any productive player should they just drop them back into the pool for the worst team?

Have competent owners this is a joke....

I am in a similar spot as the commish of a new league, with many owner's (friends) that haven't played dynasty before (but have done years of fantasy football). Owner's have thrown a fit over a trade that was offered to me: I give: David Johnson, Marcus Mariota, Eli Rogers - I get: Antonio Brown, Christian McCaffrey, 2018 1st. I'm a believer in no vetoes unless collusion is involved. I've (somewhat) attempted to handle it by reaching out to the owner's that wanted to veto it and let them know that he offered it to me; but still its frustrating to be commissioner.

seriously...no, this isn't veto worthy. You even have a terrible system in place that allows other owners a shot at vetoes and he still missed his chance.....as far as I know all fantasy sites have the option to have emails sent whenever there is activity so tell him to eat dirt and move on.

When a new owner sends you a stupid offer your job as a team owner is to accept. Your job as a commissioner is to make sure all the owners know what they are doing and the league stays competitive. Without a veto policy these two jobs are often in conflict, which is unfair for you as an owner. That's why vetoes exist. Your belief that it should be otherwise is going to ruin your league.

I think that's the point.

No pic = no veto

Or maybe I'm just reading too much into it.

I read it as either:
No pic = no feelings on veto policies
or
A known error in pic = a known flawed opinion on veto policies

Also, just so you all know, I accidentally dropped my egg salad sandwich that morning and a vulture swooped in and took it. I needed something to fill that gap in my daily lineup. I reached out to multiple vendors about my other options, but my trade assets were limited. Multiple vendors had the chance to sell me their 30 cent product for $1, but most of them wanted $1.50+. The ham and cheese vendor was reasonable enough when he saw I only had a dollar, realized he could still profit on the transaction, and we struck a deal. So for those of you vetoing the choice, just know that you're forcing me to go into the day with an empty spot in my belly.
