How is 2018 draft shaping up?

Postby Cojo 2020 » Sun Sep 17, 2017 1:43 pm

I know it is early to say, since we still have a whole college season and don't know who will declare for the 2018 draft...but is this a year I should make extra efforts to get more picks in the draft?

My current picks for the 2018/ rookie draft, based on previous trades are 2 1sts, 3 2nds, 1 3rd, and 1 6th rounder.

I am trying to trade some veterans to get more picks.

I am going to try to get whatever I can for:

A. Peterson
C. Simms
Duke Johnson

I know I won't get much...but I figure anything helps.

It looks pretty solid at the top and should be deep for QB. Projected at around 5-6 in the 1st round right now (NFL Draft). Lots will change, but it should be a decent class that will be overhyped, then come back down after some landing spots.

We'll see which Wrs declare and which ones stay but I'm really excited for Cortland Sutton.

WR's look to be lacking but I think Saquon is the prize in this draft

I'm hearing alot of things about Guice too but he doesn't pass the eye test the way that Saquon does for me

Anybody know some info on Najee Harris and how he compares to other top prospects? I think he's the 2019 class but im intrigued

I think its worth to acquire some early draft picks because you play in a 2QB
2QB-Dynasty - 10 Team standard scoring - 30man roster
2QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 1Flex, K, D/ST

QB: Joe Burrow, Jalen Hurts, Matthew Stafford, Mike White, Dorian Thompson-Robinson, Marcus Mariota
RB: Breece Hall, Tony Pollard, Najee Harris, Joe Mixon, Rashaad Penny, Damien Harris
WR: CeDee Lamb, Garrett Wilson, Stefon Diggs, Devonta Smith, Terry McLaurin, George Pickens, Calvin Ridley, Zay Flowers, Robert Woods, John Metchie, Marvin Mims
TE: Kyle Pitts, Irv Smith, Trey McBride
K: Tyler Bass
D/ST: Browns, Washington, Packers

Picks 2024: 1st, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th
Picks 2025: 1st, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th
Picks 2026: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th

acquiring drat picks right now is always a good strategy, they'll never be cheaper. Worst case sell em for a profit before your draft next season when rookie fever is in full force

WRs: Hill, Cooper, ARobinson, Sutton, Fitzgerald, TSmith(NO), Parker, Cain
TEs: Kelce, Burton, Engram
Def: Rams
K:
2019 Picks 3, 4
2020 Picks: 3, 3, 4

Team 2:
2QB 2RB 3WR 1TE 2WRT 1PPR 8TEAMS
QBs: Mahomes, Wentz, Lock, Carr, Mariota
WRs: MThomas, DAdams, ACooper, OBJ, Kupp, RAnderson, Renfro, Shepherd, Agholor, JMeyers
RBs: Mixon, Henry, Drake, JK Dobbins, Akers, Howard, McKinnon, Hyde, Pollard, DThompson

2020 Picks: 1.06 (JK Dobbins) acquired 1.09 OTC (Akers) 14 overall, 17 overall

Right now I'm just not sure how Saquan Barkeley isn't the 1.01 pick in every league next year.

Seriously

I'm already punting this year and trying to figure out a way to get a 2nd 1st rounder for this next class. Barkley is noticeably better than all of his peers. Way better than Guice in my opinion

Most enticing prospects for the next 2 years so far are Barkley, St. Brown, and Harris
