Cowboys: Williams and Butler injuries? Any Opportunity?

Postby jman3134 » Fri Sep 15, 2017 11:00 am

Hi, new user here. I haven't been able to find much on Williams/Butler's ankle injuries. I know Williams had the game of his life after returning from the locker room. But, some writers have speculated that Williams may sit out Sunday. And, while Butler is the natural fill in, he is dealing with an ankle injury of his own.

Does this create an opening for WR Noah Brown to get any playing time? While I have seen next to nothing on him on this forum, he had a good camp and made the team despite most odds. Is there enough room for Cowboys rookies (Brown and Switzer) to see some time on the field and have any Dynasty value?

I know that TWill was in a walking boot after the game, but he actually had a really good game even playing on that hurt ankle. He hadn't practiced coming into today so he will need to at least get in something today in order to play on Sunday. I think Butler will play and if he does, he should be a capable fill-in for TWill. As far as dynasty value on Noah Brown and Ryan Switzer, I think its minimal right now. They just re-signed TWill this offseason and Beasley is signed for a couple of more, so it would likely be awhile before they could make a huge impact, imo. Noah Brown is the youngest player in the NFL, if I'm not mistaken at only 20 years old after coming out early from Ohio State and I was fairly impressed with him in pre-season and was very glad he made the final 53, I like his size and maybe in a couple of seasons, he could make his mark. I agree with Cowboysfan33, don't see much starting value for Noah or Ryan right now. I do have Switzer on my team, since we get points for returns. I doubt I'll start him though, unless an injury occurs to one of my flex players.

not this week, will be Zeke 30+ vs this DEN defense .. Not sure how well DEN is defending TE's this year, know they didn't do so well last year ..

Possible but between Dez/Beasley and Witten there aren't many targets left. That said I could definitely see Brown getting a couple snaps in specific situations if Butler is actually going to be hobbled.

At least worth monitoring: Brown is active today for the Cowboys.
