^ - OLines are built to protect their most precious commodity in being the QB position not the RB position. They were playing their "smash mouth" style offense last year because Mariota is developing and they just signed Murray and you darn well better believe they are/were going to milk the carp out of him. Don't get stuck on stats of old and focus on what a coaching staff and offense is doing. Signing 2 WRs within the first 3 rounds and using their 1st of 2 1st rounders on a WR is a big deal in saying they want to throw more. Furthermore signing Eric Decker in the offseason should be another sign. Mariota will throw for more that should be known, we will just see how much more in this coming year.
Stats tell only truth of the past, they do not predict the future.

Re: Taywan Taylor
With Davis out, there's some chatter he'll get significantly more playing time. It's not a good matchup, but what do you think we'll see out of Taywan from the slot this weekend? Last week's 40 plus yard reception was pretty good.
Re: Taywan Taylor
I like Mariota, Davis, Taylor and Smith a lot - obviously, check my sig
That whole offense is on its way up, but I think they're still a year or two away from being consistent and explosive.
Lots to learn still for Mariota, nevermind his three new rookie receiving weapons and Henry coming sooner than later.
Reminds me a bit of how they planned to develop Russell Wilson into an elite passer after a few run-and-D years, except that Mariota scored a host of great receiving weapons all in one year.

Re: Taywan Taylor
With Davis out, someone has to make plays besides Decker and Walker, both of whom the LOB will try to shut down.
So I expect at least one of Taylor or Smith to score.

Re: Taywan Taylor
If he is the starting slot, then the floor should be 4-5 targets and some decent upside. Game flow is going to mean everything, but no one should be shocked if Taylor finds the end zone this week.

Re: Taywan Taylor
Rishard Matthews is their other starting WR. It does move Taylor into 3WR sets though, but the Titans do use a lot of 2TE looks too.
Re: Taywan Taylor
Ive been hit by injuries alreajdy, so I'm thinking about throwing him out there. I like his talent but not a fan of the matchup.

Re: Taywan Taylor
I missed that call. He only got 3 targets (9% share). Matthews and Decker are still in the way. Decker is on a 1 year deal, and Matthews is signed through 2018.
If you can get Taylor & 2018 1st for Ebron, I'd take that. Even in a TE premium that looks like a solid move to me.Space Cowboy wrote: ↑Fri Sep 22, 2017 8:16 pm Thinking of offering my Ebron for t Taylor and 2018 rd 1 (TE premium)

I tacked on round 3 to Ebron since he was so painfully awful yesterday. Doubt it gets accepted.rubber_duck wrote: ↑Mon Sep 25, 2017 7:18 am I missed that call. He only got 3 targets (9% share).
