I agree with you about the Chi-TB game. I also think TB should win but I have a feeling Chi could be a tough out for many teams this season. Their o-line and d-line, both are under-rated. Unfortunately, they just don't have much firepower in their passing game, with injuries and all or they could be a real threat.Stevens61310 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 12, 2017 5:01 pm Oakland is an overwhelming choice and it will almost certainly be my choice. In my survivor pool I will almost surely pick against the Jets almost weekly--much like I did last year with Cleveland.
Another game I am thinking about is Carolina at home against Buffalo. In my opinion Buffalo struggled just a little with the Jets last week and I do think Carolina is a much better team.
I see a lot of people thinking Tampa over Chicago--I'm not sure I would do that. Will Tampa win? Probably. Is it a better choice than say Carolina over Buffalo? I do not think so. Chicago with virtually no passing attack to speak of kept pace with Atlanta --one of last year's Superbowl participants. Tampa doesn't have that one completed game under their belt and maybe just a little rusty--. Again I repeat I expect Tampa to win but I do not think it is the slam dunk some are claiming--

Oakland, then probably the team playing the Jets for awhile (unless there is a better matchup the first week they play MIA)

Re: Survivor Pool Week 2
If you had 2 picks in the same pool, would you select Oakland twice or hedge your bet?
I was planning on taking Oakland with 1, and Tampa or Seattle with the other.

Re: Survivor Pool Week 2
This week I'd go Oakland twice and never look back. I wouldn't say that too often, but Jets are that bad, and dismantled. They are traveling across country to play in Oakland. Oakland is pretty much completely healthy. Oakland has the proficient passing attack, a closer at RB, one of the best O-lines in football, and a massively improving Defense. I'm not sure I've ever see a team that is as likely to win as the Raiders will be this week.waynesworld1234 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 13, 2017 5:29 am If you had 2 picks in the same pool, would you select Oakland twice or hedge your bet?

Re: Survivor Pool Week 2
I don't think it is a slam dunk; but since I picked Oakland last week it is the pick I am most confident in. I'm sure it will be a close game and not a blowout, actually.Stevens61310 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 12, 2017 5:01 pmI see a lot of people thinking Tampa over Chicago--I'm not sure I would do that. Not picking Carolina for sure. They blew out the 49ers, but they still did not look good doing so. Plus, the Bills are one of those teams that have always screwed me in the past. I never pick against the Bills. They're not a good team but they are one of those teams that will screw you constantly.
Re: Survivor Pool Week 2
Oakland for me this weekend after Buffalo last weekend. Haven't made a deep run in one of these in a while, so trying not to over think it this year.

Piling on with Oakland - I think for future weeks, maybe make a poll of the top few favorites?
