Anyone tried to buy him yet from an owner? In my sig league the ARob owner is a huge Packers fan and RB thirsty. Thinking about floating TyMont out there for him. How's everyone feel about that?

Due to contracts it makes things complicated in my league, but traded Ty Williams (5-year), Kendal Wright (1-year), and my 2018 1st (should be 1.10-1.12) for ARob (through 2018) and his 2018 1st (likely 1.03-1.08 range). 1 year rental for me in 2018, but the upside in the player and the ice coming back was worth the risk.

As an ARob holder, I personally wouldn't accept that, but every team and needs are different. I'd say float the offer and see what his take on it is. What's the worst, a decline?

Definitely a good time to test the Robinson owner. Just traded Alshon Jeffery for ARob and a 2nd. Was going to try a one for one but threw in the 2nd just to see where his owner stood on him. Apparently not very high cause it was accepted within the half hour.

Like others have said, as long as the trade isn't insulting than it can't hurt to try. I wouldnt take ty Mont but I'm not a Packers fan or a believer in him.

I wasn't personally an ARob believer, and I think his 2015 was his peak. But I love acquiring players when their value is discounted. And the list of players who accomplished what ARob did in 2015 is very small, so I would bet on him having some more good seasons. I imagine you're all trying to acquire him now right? I think his price only falls over the next few weeks too. Especially if his owner is contending.

But that is why you are here... and contending... because you don't make short sighted moves. Not everyone is that disciplined.

I got Julio by trading Andre Johnson and a 1st for him after he went down with a foot injury. Been super happy since, and hope I just did the same thing again with ARob.

I've actually explored selling him from my sig team, but I refused to sell for super cheap, so not moving him. Most I got was Moncrief and Crowell haha.

Wouldn't make any sense if they let him go, they have more than enough cap space to keep him (just under 41 mil, 3rd most in the league) and even though they're trending toward a ground-and-pound/strong defense team they still need receivers and he's the best one on the team right now. Granted I've never been high on the guy, I think he's pretty overrated, but from an NFL standpoint there's 0 reason for the Jags to let him walk, at the very least they franchise tag him and if he decides that he would rather go elsewhere after that they could also Kirk Cousins him and franchise him for multiple years although I doubt that happens.

ARob and Marqise Lee are both UFAs after this year and Hurns has an out in his contract (he's also far and away the most expensive of the 3) and if he doesn't step up and perform for them while Robinson is out then I'm 90% sure they'll cut him unless they sign him at a big discount. Given all that the odds of them cutting ARob, their most successful receiver over the past 3 seasons, are incredibly low, no matter how little you want to throw the ball gutting your WR corps like that (shitty QB play or no) is a terrible personnel move.

I think they'll try and work a new contract/extension with him sometime late this season/early in the offseason depending on how their season goes (that division is a bit up in the air atm) but they'll probably try and pay him less than they would have if he hadn't been hurt so he won't sign it, then they'll franchise him and see how he is next year after recovery and rehab then work an appropriate deal with him following the 2018 season and probably lock him up for 2019-2021.

For good or for bad, Bortles/Henne/similar talent QB or no, I'm almost 100% certain ARob will be on the Jags for the next 4-5 years (assuming one of those years is under a franchise tag).
