Tier 3 Rookie RBs

Postby RestoreTheRoar » Mon Aug 14, 2017 9:00 am

Seems like Tier 1 (LF, CMC, Mixon, Cook) and Tier 2 (Hunt, Kamara, Perine & maybe Foreman) have kind of been determined so how about the next crop of guys? Feels very up in the air to me.

How would you rank these guys?

I would base it on probability of ever getting a crack at the starting gig.

Mack is a fumbline machine. I dont care how talented anybody is. If you fumble you sit.

McNichols has the next most difficult path because Martin is proven (?) and Simms and Rogers are ahead of him

Joe Williams is next. Screw off season puff pieces. Carlos Hyde is big, fast and has a mean cut back.

Conner is next. I think he could be a long term answer in Pittsburgh as Bell is looking to set a new salary standard at RB. Steelers dont roll that way.

Williams might be the least talented of the three, but the job in Green Bay is the most up for grabs out of this bunch, so for this year Williams, but I like Conner better.

By the way, the roar will never be restored as long as the word Ford appears under the ownership tag for that franchise.

In no way does my name reflect my belief that the roar will be restored. It's more of a cry for help. Like, "Please, restore the roar. Do anything that can possibly be done to restore the roar."

It's an odd phrase to begin with because with only 1 playoff win in the Super Bowl era, I'm not sure the roar was ever there in the first place. Unfortunately no one chooses to be a Lions fan. You just wake up one day when you're like 14 and realize you've been completely brainwashed for the last 10 years and have no other choice than to stick it out. But this is our year! ;)

I bumped Jamaal up my rankings simply due to situation. All reports say he's good at pass protecting and doing well enough with his rushing opportunities in camp and in the first preseason game. I could see him passing the fumbling/poor passpro Ty Mont. I only bring this up because opportunity will most likely be the decider for all of these guys. I don't see any of them having the talent to out produce their draft capital.

In order I'd have it as:
Jamaal Williams
Conner
Joe Williams
Mack
McNichols
10 Team Half PPR Scoring SF
QB: Mahomes, Hurts, Minshew
RB: Kamara, K. Hunt, Warren, Bigsby, D. Cook, Jamaal Williams, J. Wilson, McLaughlin, McKinnon, J. Kelley
WR: A.J. Brown, Diggs, K. Allen, C. Watson, Cooks, Pickens, W. Robinson
TE: Kelce, J. Smith, Musgrave
