NO WAY!

Only collusion should be vetoed...and if the Commish is telling others not to trade with him, that's a form of collusion IMO. Can't kick the commish out and if he won't replace a bad owner then it's time for you to leave the league.

This. Commish should not direct free agent moves or trades, but if he has an overmatched owner he also should've acted on it by now.

I don't know why people who have this opinion keep answering these questions. Great for you, don't play in veto leagues, but this isn't helpful advice in regards to this question, for those of us who don't want moron league mates to ruin our league.

I don't think any trade for a 2nd round pick is significant enough to veto, unless maybe it's a keeper league (not a full dynasty).

It does help cuz I gave my two cents in the first sentence. I wouldn't give a 3rd round pick personally. But I would also sell for a 1st. So I clearly wouldn't buy for a 2nd, however would easily sell for a 2nd or a 3rd.

You need to get a new league...not near veto worthy
22-man, 12-team, 1 pt-PPR; Start 1-2RB; 3-4 WR; 1-2 TE

TEAM 1
QB: Prescott, Foles
RB: Barkley, P Barber, Duke, Gio Bernard, Gus, C Thompson, Breida, Ekeler
WR: A Cooper, Cooks, Lockett, C. Davis, Crowder, Chark, Stills
TE: OJ Howard

I don't think this is close to veto worthy.

I also don't think this is close for bailing on the league over, or even throwing that big of a stink. Just move on, neither side was that valuable.

SteelLake wrote: Thu Aug 10, 2017 10:23 am Edit (I have to be fair if I want opinions): Another disclosure, just so I'm being entirely honest: there are concerns about the competency of other owner, and I was made aware commissioner texted everyone to not trade with owner anymore. I legitimately never got this text, but I think this is a darn fair deal / if that much of a concern that can't trade with owner, owner should be removed.
1. Playing in a league with veto's is meh
2. Why would this owner be allowed if he can't trade with anyone? Find a new league

"commissioner texted everyone to not trade with owner anymore"

Okay, wait a minute here. Has this owner colluded with someone else in the past to justify this response? Or is this just about this owner's perceived "competence"? If it's about collusion, then commish is justified - but if it's about his "competence", that's a whole 'nother matter. The guy should be allowed to run his team as he sees fit. If he runs it into the ground, it's his money.
If the commish is acting in this manner, I'd be looking in the bylaws to see the procedure to remove the commish. This is unacceptable.

Veto is for collusion or extreme off the charts stupidity that changes the balance of power in the league.

This is neither.

onetwothree wrote: Fri Aug 11, 2017 7:49 am Seems like the issue is not with this deal specifically but a culmination of trades between the 2 same owners. Looks like this is the one that broke camel's back.

I don't know if "veto" is the right word for this situation. Seems more like the league is freezing transactions from 1 owner while they figure out what to do and the owner/OP is just upset he wasn't able to take advantage of 1 more deal. Sounds like this league will be looking for 1 (and maybe 2 owners) shortly...
This is spot on.
