Worried about Rookies?

There is no way in hell Jeremy Hill supplants Mixon for the whole year. Mixon's current depth chart 'status' is PR.

Cook already looks like the Viking's best RB1. Davis, McCaffrey will be fine long term i.e. dynasty.

Are we really worried about guys before some of them even play their 1st game? Depth chart doesn't mean much right now. Says more about the coach than the player. The only thing that should worry anyone about rookies is when you hear things like fumbling issues or blowing pass protection or running the wrong routes. That'll keep you on the bench.

What's the opposite of rookie fever because this seems like it...

As far as the top 5 rookies go I'm concerned about the 2017 production of Mixon. McCaffrey should be fine but those expecting him to be a 3db at least in year one will be disappointed. As far as workload goes I would not be concerned for Fournette or Cook. I'm also not worried about Davis yet.

If I were worried about the lasting value of these guys I'd be most concerned with Cook. Not because of his talent but because MIN has a crummy O-line. The same could be said of CIN which might hurt Mixon. If we're honest about how year-to-year performance affects player value I think you can make an argument that these developments do hurt Mixon. The other 4 should be fine if Cook can overcome the MIN O-line

The real concern over rookies should be from those who drafted Perine in the first. Looking pretty bleak there.

People are expecting too much out of Mixon, Davis, and McCaffery. Fournette I have no worries about, he is exactly what I thought he was and will be a beast.
