I didn't see a topic on this so I thought it was worth bringing up.
Andrew Luck is still not throwing at camp and it is looking very possible he misses the first 6 games of the 2017 season.
Missing 6 games is huge in terms of fantasy since we are only really playing this game for 16 weeks (so losing your QB1 for 38% of your season!).
I think most teams (outside of SF/2QB) can manage their QB spot hole that Luck being out would leave.
But what does that do to the rest of the offense?
Frank Gore if healthy would probably get TONS of volume touches!
Donte Moncrief since 2014 without Andrew Luck actually averaged 9.27 PPR Fantasy Points Per Game versus 9.63 when Luck did play, so not massive difference.
TY Hilton since 2012 without Andrew Luck averaged 11.6 PPR Fantasy Points Per Game versus 15.14 when Luck did play, that's pretty big difference considering how high Hilton's ADP is right now.
I would think it would actually be a positive for a guy like Jack Doyle as inexperienced QBs and young QBs tend to revert to safety blankets under pressure which is usually tight ends and pass catching RBs.
What do you all think this will do for Andrew Luck in 2017 and going forward?
What does this do to the skill guys this year and going forward?

Re: Andrew Luck First 6 Games in Jeopardy
Not sure I have much faith in Tolzien being able to keep that offense functional. Could Indy look at Kaep? The retired guys don't seem like an option given the temporary nature of Indy's need.

Re: Andrew Luck First 6 Games in Jeopardy
There was already an updated report stating he would be activated from the PUP be the start of the season.

Re: Andrew Luck First 6 Games in Jeopardy
Colts GM said earlier today he expects Luck off of the PUP before the reg season starts, wouldn't count my chickens just yet. Even if he isn't that doesn't mean he has to miss 6 games, if he's on PUP before the reg season starts he can come off at any time.

Re: Andrew Luck First 6 Games in Jeopardy
The Colts have absolutely nobody at backup QB. If they were even the slightest bit afraid Luck would miss regular season games they would be crazy not to sign somebody. Kaepernick and RG3 don't fit anyone's system but at least try out Shaun Hill or something.
Re: Andrew Luck First 6 Games in Jeopardy
They have no one behind Luck. I feel like if they had more concerns about it, they would've gone out and signed somebody by now. I feel like they have a game plan for what Luck needs to do to get back and be ready for week 1. I wouldn't worry just yet. Having a backup plan is probably a good idea though. Especially for people in superflex/2QB leagues. I agree with your assessments of all the players involved and the impact that Luck not being on the team might have though.

I think it is highly unlikely he misses games. Just the chicken little syndrome the media loves to play with big names

Re: Andrew Luck First 6 Games in Jeopardy
Just ask Bill Polian what it means in Indy to have no answer at back up QB. I doubt he touches the field in preseason, but I agree that if there was concern in Indy they would have already signed another QB onto the roster. He is just going to be a redraft bargain this year.....
I am just a guy sharing some thoughts
