Jordan Reed on PUP List

Jordan Reed to start the year on the PUP list due to a big toe sprain supposedly.

Thoughts on him/this?

Just means he is not able to practice right now. He can be taken off at any time in the preseason. I have not heard why though since it was undisclosed when I last looked. I would be breathing easier if I was a Reed owner much better news than a concussion or something head related. Reed is an incredible talent, however, I won't have him on any of my teams. Just too much risk. I would want another high-end TE on my roster if I did have him.

If you have Reed, you better have Vernon Davis. If Reed is out start Davis, its thats simple as Davis has put up good numbers when Reed is out.

I think Reed will likely be ready for the season as its a toe sprain. He's on the preseason PUP, so he can be activated at any time. He is not forced to miss any in season games.

You guys are looking at this all wrong, this is actually good news. Reed being sidelined during TC just means less opportunities for him to slip and fall and suffer his 136th concussion. Reed's a baller when he's on the field no matter what, so I for one like seeing him covered in bubble wrap in July/August.

When it comes to Reed & injuries, there is definitely something to see here. These toe & foot related injuries almost always are initially reported as minor, then the player keeps missing more games, then after the season it's revealed to be much bigger.

Not saying that has to be the case this time, but I'd be worried. If you own Reed, you should know to already have a solid backup plan.

Pretty much my thoughts. Also offense isn't changing...they may as well bubble wrap him until game 1

The one place I roster Reed I ended up drafting Howard when he fell to the late first. I was going to grab Ross or one of the 2nd tier backs, as I hate drafting TEs early, but I felt that was the best value considering injury history and/or Howard carrying trade value down the road. I put Reed on the block this off season, but have gotten only low-ball offers thus far.
