I sold Hyde and my 2018 3rd for a 2018 1st (likely early). This was a few months ago before his value started rapidly declining but I still think its close to fair value.

Nice. Shipping him for an early 1st. I like the sound of that!

12 team league.
In 3 years of the league my pick has been a top 5 1st each year.
So either this owner is very high on Hyde or he's just having a bad day
No offense but trying to get both of those players for one 1st seems a bit light.
I wasn't expecting an accept from my opening offer.
But as has been said on here, some may value Hyde as a mid to late 1st round pick or even an early 2nd round pick value now.
And with the track record of owning a top 5 1st each of the 3 years I've been in the league, that would carry an assumed early to mid 1st value if you ask me.
Marty B is 30 years old and never once topped 1,000 yards receiving.

Like I said, wasn't expecting an accept, was expecting an opening dialogue to work on a deal.

This is sorta irrelevant. Hes a TE, a lot of them don't hit 1000 yards but that in no way means they are a bad TE. And for what its worth, Greg Olsen didn't have a 1,000 yard season until he was 30. Marty B is still a good TE2 with TE1 upside imo

Zach Zenner, Noah Brown, 2 '18 1sts, '19 1st and a '19 2nd
For
Carlos Hyde and Corey Coleman
All 3 1sts look to be mid to late in a 16 team league, the 2nd could be early.
I was offered Hyde and Coleman for Melvin Gordon and I turned it down.

I think someone above said he was "phenomenal" but I never saw that. He was young and a starter, which is where his value came from, but I think he was always overrated. I haven't seen him show much in the way of talent. I don't know that Joe Williams is a realistic option but I do believe the part of the rumor that says Hyde isn't a great fit for the new system. So to me what you are calling a "buy low" opportunity is where his value should have been in the first place. I do own him in a league or two and I will probably hold.
Almost literally the only talent the 49ers put on the field last year. His production was outstanding for how bad the team around him played. If he sticks around he sticks around i expect an increase in points from last year due to shanny, and if he moves i expect an increase due to better circumstance.

Hyde's name creeps up at the top of a lot of performance metrics, so he's doing something right. He's just on a horrific team/offense/organization really, and has had some injury issues. Otherwise he's a fine RB. Still betting on a career year with Shanahan and contract season.

People were clamoring for DGB to get released and traded, now look where we are.

All I'm trying to point out is, if Hyde is that good...why would SF throw him in the trash? Yes, different coaches have different playbooks that require certain skill sets but if Hyde is as good as people think or say, then how can he not cut it? Just seems odd.

If him being released ultimately happens of course.

Seems like someone worth taking a chance on at the right price... never been below 4ypc just for comparison:

Last Season
carries 217 Yds 988 avg 4.6 TDs 9
OLINE RANK 29

Melvin Gordon who's selling high right now was:
carries 254 Yds 997 avg 3.9 TDs 12
OLINE RANK 31

I found this article fairly compelling on Hyde, even if he does get cut
12-team Non-PPR QB, 2-RB, 3-WR, TE, K, DEF
QB: Herbert, Tanny
RB: Chubb, Stevenson, AJ Dillion
WR: AJ Brown, M Evans, M Williams, D London, C Olave, Jameson Williams, M Thomas
TE: D Njoku
K: Butker

2023: 1.01, 2.01
2024 early first, late first

I might buy Hyde but I am betting most owners are going to wait it out and I have sold hyde anywhere I take over an orphan with him.
I think he is a good RB but hasn't really ever been able to get rolling in SF with injuries and crappy game scripts with the 9ers being so woeful on offense

I put an offer in for him today. Gore/Mack for Hyde. Owner is reluctant and will most likely like offer expire out.

That seems a little low for Hyde, if you added a 2nd round pick to that, I'd probably take it.

I am definitely buying at the right price. He puts up great numbers when he's on the field. If he can put together at least a 14-15 game season, I think he is easily a low-end RB1 in a Shanahan offense. As far as the news about him getting cut, I think it's just a bunch of fluff. He is the best player on that offense right now, they'd be stupid to cut him. Only feasible answer for them cutting him would be if they are trying to lose this year to grab a QB next year. Which does not really make sense because they signed Garcon to help them this year. If anything happens, I think it'd be a trade for him.
