I agree with this. I can't imagine there's a science to it. Football is the most physically demanding sport there is, and it's normal for players to get injured. Even the best WR's in the NFL aren't immune to it. Dez and Julio had Jones fractures, OBJ has a high ankle sprain and hamstring issues, Evans had a hamstring problem years ago, Green was injured last season, Megatron retired because of ankle problems, etc.

Fantasy football is and always will be a game of survival. The best thing you can do is continue to pick up the best talent and hope for the best.

I haven't done the research, so I don't know any numbers or anything. But I'd guess it's less so that top flight rookie WRs are getting injured more frequently, and more that the expectations for top flight rookie WRs has gotten so out of hand that we notice it more now.
