QB-A vs QB-B Who would you take?
This is simple. Without seeing who the players are who would you take as your QB in dynasty! Both these players are young and have less than 4 years experience and we're taking early in the first round of their drafts. To start player A has finished as a top 10 QB in the last two years while player B has scored top 15 respectfully.
2016
Player A - 287
Player B - 268
2015
Player A - 338
Player B - 268
Both have started all 16 games the last two years.
Player A has thrown for 8,333 yards while player B has thrown for 8,132 yards.
Player A has accounted for 58 passing TDs while player B has 50.
Player A has throw 34 interceptions which is only 1 more than player B with 33.
Player A however has seen his interception rate drop nearly a percent since joining the league while player B has seen his rise half a percent.
Player A has nearly double the rushing yards with 669 over the last two years while player B has only 378.
Player A also has a nearly 6% lower sake rate than Player B.
Player B has completed 59.9% of his passes to player A who has average 58.8%
Player B has a average passer rating of 85.2 while Player A has a 82.5 average rating over the last two years!
However despite this Player B's adp is 126 spots higher than Player A's. While most of you will know who these two are I ask, which QB would you rather have?

This was on the CBS fantasy podcast earlier with the exact same players, might skew the results a bit

Luckily I have the option of watching Winston and Bortles play before having to choose between them. In the world of the blind, though, Bortles would be your guy.

Tyrod Taylor.
Redraft player A .... Dynasty neither.

99 problems but your 10 team league ain't one!
Re: QB-A vs QB-B Who would you take?
What about their ADP last year?
I mean one guy improves slightly and one regresses and fantasy is fickle when you look only at ADP. Narratives drive ADP up and down all the time in very short windows.
Shouldn't be all that surprising really and especially at QB where most leagues are start one and neither is actually a guy most would be confident starting in 12 team leagues.
I would have guessed Bortles and Carr but Winston makes sense too

Bortles keeps throwing the ball in the dirt.
Re: QB-A vs QB-B Who would you take?
This is a fun exercise but like someone said earlier, seeing the names changes people's opinions. A lot of variables go into football. Not exactly as easy as looking at stats.

Re: QB-A vs QB-B Who would you take?
Player A is 2 years older than Player B, yet you are excluding Player A's rookie year in some of your stats and including Player B's rookie year in all his stats. This is bad cherry picking.
I'm sorry nobody is biting on your Bortles trade bait in your leagues. I don't think this thread will help, though.

The guy who has been the only player in NFL history to throw for 4,000+ yards in both of his first two seasons
Re: QB-A vs QB-B Who would you take?
Player A vs. B arguments always end up as a complete Cherry Pick.... really just a joke argument... ignores SWOT, ignores age, ignores situation. It's a great conversation for a podcast, a horrible way to run a dynasty team.Sterling Archer wrote: ↑Mon Jul 17, 2017 1:49 pm Player A is 2 years older than Player B, yet you are excluding Player A's rookie year in some of your stats and including Player B's rookie year in all his stats. Re: QB-A vs QB-B Who would you take?
Yeah, there are a few good player A vs. player B arguments out there... very few. A good one can withstand a "devil's advocate" standpoint - involving non-cherry picked stats. In this case, it would be pretty easy to cherry pick (or blindly pick) other stats which aren't favorable for Bortles, which is why it's a bad one.Reljac wrote: ↑Tue Jul 18, 2017 5:53 amPlayer A vs. B arguments always end up as a complete Cherry Pick.... really just a joke argument... ignores SWOT, ignores age, ignores situation. Jeez rough crowd I'm in way implying Bortles is better I heard it on a podcast and thought it was interesting!Sterling Archer wrote: ↑Mon Jul 17, 2017 1:49 pm Player A is 2 years older than Player B, yet you are excluding Player A's rookie year in some of your stats and including Player B's rookie year in all his stats.
