Whats everyone's thought on Marqise besides that missing U in his name?
After battling a series of injuries early in his career it looks like he is starting to put it together. He had a solid season last year and flashed some great potential out of the slot. Looks like Jags will be running less 3 receiver sets and Lee will be competing for the WR2 spot with hurns this year. Lee obviously has the draft pedigree, and is in a contract year.
He seems pretty undervalued at his current ADP of 141 (WR67), given he finished within the top 40 last year, and is still only 25. Do we think he ever becomes a startable WR2? Is he good insurance as an Arob owner incase of an injury, or did the cards just fall his way last year and those are the best numbers well see of Lee and he should be considered a bust?
Looking for overall opinions as I own him in several of my leagues and recently got an offer of essentially Lee for Meredith that I'm debating.
Thanks
Marqise Lee

Re: Marqise Lee
Certainly like him more in PPR than standard scoring leagues.
Lee for Meredith seems like a pretty even deal. Agreed that his ranking in the 60+ range is ridiculous.
I doubt he'll ever turn into a consistent WR2. I see him as a current WR4.

Re: Marqise Lee
I think we can see more out of Lee. He had a decent rookie year despite the injuries but was overshadowed by the rest of the 14 class. His second season was totally derailed, and last year he was near even with Robinson, at least yardage wise.
His pedigree and talent are high and people are quick to point out that Robinson suffered due to Bortles so wouldn't it be the same for Lee. If Bortles gets it together, then Lee should see a rise.
That said I would take Meredith for Lee for depth chart and injury reasons.

Re: Marqise Lee
60s is low for Lee, but I would take Meredith over him pretty easily.
Dynasty player since 2002.
I probably should have done something more productive with that time...

Re: Marqise Lee
I would take Lee over Meredith personally. Pretty even but Lee even with the injuries has put good film on the books. Lee took a good chink of Allen and Hurns work from them and I expect him to take even more this year.

Re: Marqise Lee
Bortles and TDs are my biggest concern. PPR is really where to own as your WR3/4 and I'd handily have him over Meredith. Standard I'd stick with whomever is on my roster.
99 problems but your 10 team league ain't one!

I'd buy Lee as a WR3/4. I think you can get more for Meredith than Lee alone but worth a counter at least

Re: Marqise Lee
I think Lee is a solid buy, so long as you aren't depending on him for 2017 production. Last year he flashed big play ability and looked like a dynamic weapon all over the field. But the team philosophy is definitely shifting to a ball-control, run-dominated offense, which should cap the fantasy production of the entire passing game.
I doubt Jacksonville will re-sign him after this contract year with money tied to Hurns and A-Rob due for a large contract, so it will be interesting to see where Lee ends up. But I'm definitely buying for a future 2nd considering his track record as a prospect, draft pedigree, and on-field talent.

Re: Marqise Lee
Hurns has nothing guaranteed beyond this year and there's no guarantee they give Robinson the money he'll want. I wouldn't count on Lee getting out of Jacksonville in the offseason.kmbryant09 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 15, 2017 8:40 am I think Lee is a solid buy, so long as you aren't depending on him for 2017 production. Re: Marqise Lee
Lee's just never had a huge fan club and most have soured on him long ago. Even though his junior year production was a major step forward for him, it just isn't enough yet to turn the tide of public opinion. It has started to, but he needs another full year of improvement to even think about changing his reputation. Frankly I thought he outplayed A-Rob last year in that den of evil QB play. Yeah, the Jags played small ball, but Lee was more reliable, seemed hungrier and more explosive than A-Rob.
Obviously, you gotta discount accordingly, but he was really good last year the way I saw it. The collective bias seems to be more negative on him than he probably deserves. If he continues on the same trajectory this year, however, we'll all be wishing we bought more shares. And his dynasty value will likely over-correct on the upside. 'Course he's gotta overcome a healthy Hurns, a hopefully resurgent A-Rob, the O shifting to running the ball with that Fournette guy, and oh yeah did I mention Blake Bortles? Just a few obstacles. LOL And if he doesn't, well he doesn't have much further to drop does he. Good luck,

Re: Marqise Lee
I wouldn't be too surprised if Dede Westbrook passed Lee on the depth chart, to be completely honest.
That said - hard to be too excited about any Jags WRs; the only one I think is really worth owning is ARob.

Re: Marqise Lee
This would be my thoughts as well, though Dede has to put on at least SOME weight. Dynamic but man is he skinny. I'd second that I am only interested in ARob in that group, never been a fan of Lee.
