Players you regret never owning

What players do you regret never owning? I wish I had had Hines Ward at some point. I love the guys who'll bust your mouth, work harder than any mofo on the team. Big fan of Anquan Boldin, Steve Smith. Larry Fitzgerald doesn't play with the edge I like, but love his game.

Hines Ward- "I try to knock somebody's bleep out, then smile after I do it." He wasn't a top 3 WR (I think) but I loved his effort on each play, even when all he was doing was blocking. Hell, he'd hunt for someone to "block" even if the play was on the other end of the field.

What about you? Who do you wish you had owned before they retired?

Being a Vikings fan, I kinda regret never owning AP in any kind of league, even redraft. Unfortunately now he's in a situation that I sort of want nothing to do with, so I probably still won't own him anywhere.

Have only been in the game since 2012 so I don't have any oldskool names to throw out. Plus part of the reason I enjoy being in a lot of leagues is because I usually get to own most players in at least one of them.

For me right now it's David Johnson. I did actually own him in a couple leagues, but owned him nowhere when he blew up and I own him nowhere right now. Of course his value is so high right now that I probably won't own him any time soon either unless it's via a startup. Paying huge prices for peak-value RBs always seems like a bad idea to me, and as beastly as DJ is you're going to have to gut a team to buy him.

Nice topic! For some reason I've always regret passing on Matt Forte in his prime. I used to only play in 1 Redraft league, and he was either always out of my range or I was always 'picking too high' to take him.

It's hard for me to name one that is currently playing because I own or have owned most of the top guys. This is the first season that I've had Lev Bell on a team so I'm excited about that. Hopefully he won't decide to spark one up, anytime soon, lol.

That could be fun too! What players in NFL history do you wish you had been playing fantasy football so you could have had them on your team? I had Kurt Warner when he was an old man in Arizona, wonder what it was like in his prime years in the Greatest Show on Turf.

In his rookie year, he was real cheap because of the report spinal issues leading up to the NFL draft. I got him in a 12 league 30 deep league filled with a bunch of knowledgeable owners. Got him in the 4th iirc and while I was rebuilding my team that year, he was a key reason I was contending a few years later and eventually won the title.
