A healthy Gronk, but I've got my fill of injured Gronk.
All my teams suck. And I'm not in your league.

That could be fun too! What players in NFL history do you wish you had been playing fantasy football so you could have had them on your team? I had Kurt Warner when he was an old man in Arizona, wonder what it was like in his prime years in the Greatest Show on Turf.
pokerface40 wrote: Sat Jul 01, 2017 2:08 pm Gronk. Too expensive to trade for, and I rarely take TEs early in a draft. But man it must be even more fun than it already is watching him on Sundays when you own him.
In his rookie year, he was real cheap because of the report spinal issues leading up to the NFL draft. I got him in a 12 league 30 deep league filled with a bunch of knowledgeable owners. Got him in the 4th iirc and while I was rebuilding my team that year, he was a key reason I was contending a few years later and eventually won the title.
Off the top of my head thinking back a bit, I definitely would have wanted LT or Marshall Faulk in their prime.

Also, I'm with Poker on Gronk. I completely forgot about him, but never owned him anywhere either. I've looked into buying him this off-season since his value has fallen some, but the price is still too expensive for me. He's a player I'll eventually buy somewhere just so I can say I owned him.

Everyone not on my roster.

Ok- In new around here so this is a hard questions, but I'm going with Brandon Cooks. I think he has a lot to offer and will be going after him in my non dynasty leagues this year.

If we are going old school now I have a ton of guys. But no.1 would be Emmitt Smith, my favorite player of all time. I do remember owning him, but it was redraft with the Arizona Cardinals, right when I got into redraft, ugh.

Bo Jackson would be a fun one back in the day!

Yeah, I'm right there with you on that. There's so many that I could name if we went way back. I also started right when Emmitt was in Arizona and he along with Tony Dorsett are my two favorite Dallas Cowboys.

I managed to miss Adrian Peterson...Even after it was over he was too expensive. And he probably still is...

David Johnson for sure, especially owning Ellington back when he was supposed to get the lion's share. But injuries always open up opportunity.
I think Freeman is one that at one time I was looking to grab before he suddenly got 20 carries a game but thought Coleman was going to just run with that job.
Hopkins is up there too. Now he can be acquired for less than he was worth last year but nowhere near his rookie year.

I've only been playing dynasty since 2012 myself so I'm gonna echo a few of these regrets. I regret not owning David Johnson, especially becasue I drafted him at the 3.02 as a rookie and flipped him and a 3rd for Deangelo Williams and 3rd week 8 of that season.

(You may have heard me use this example before, but I'm just gonna let you know your'e likely to hear it a lot more. It gives me nightmares to this day. Lol)

They were both retired before I started playing fantasy, but the two guys I can think of that I never had but it would have been a blast to own and watch are Barry Sanders and Bo Jackson.

Both of these are great calls. I loved Barry Sanders as a player. I woulda paid any price to have him if I was playing fantasy back then.

No Jackson was a stud athlete, but I have no clue how he was in fantasy. He made splash plays, but was he a regular producer?

RBs in the Emmit Smith era back then got tons of touches, but it could easily be 30 carries for 100 yards. Woo-hoo.

Troy Aikman was similar- a top tier QB, but in the NFL on-the-field level than the fantasy type.

Kordell woulda been awesome. Another great call. Never had Vick in his prime, but it must've been amazing.

I used to think Barry Sanders was hands down the league's best RB in history ever. Then a Bears fan introduced me to Walter Payton. Able to grind out yards and break big plays. I wish he was playing nowadays, so I could pay whatever it took.

That's a fair call on Bo. He was probably never a fantasy mainstay, was banged up a bit and a little inconsistent. But I can remember watching him come out when I was a kid, and thinking he was going to be something special those first few years . it's a shame he got derailed, would have been a fun career to watch I bet. Without the benift of hindsight, if I was playing dynasty in those years, I'm sure I would have payed whatever premium it took to own Jackson as a rookie.

Terrelle Pryor. I'm all about athletic sleepers as prospects but even I thought it was doubtful that this guy would make it as a WR. He was basically free in a lot of my leagues and I just didn't think he was worth a roster spot. Regret.

Cris Carter. For some reason I never believed that he was as good as he really was. But looking back, he really did do more than just catch touchdowns.
