DGB: Round 3

Postby pokerface40 » Fri Jun 30, 2017 8:43 am

Released by the Eagles. Yeah yeah I know he will most likely go down as a bust, but humor me. This question is more for the truthers out there who are still rostering him and holding out a bit of hope.

Where do you want him to end up?

I like KC, DAL, SF off the top of my head.

Odd timing, troubling. Maybe the Nelson Agholor camp hype isn't all for show. As for DGB, I think SF would be the best spot for him. They can give him enough playing time to keep his head in the game and if they do land Cousins next year, he could stand to be a big winner. Detroit would be interesting, though I wouldn't expect anything this year. And of course, Green Bay would be a landing spot that would allow exit value, if you're into that sort of thing.

KC- he played at Mizzou, maybe a homecoming would help?

I remember when so many people were saying it was a good thing that he was discarded from the Titans.

He is just not good. Ample opportunity in philly - now 2 teams, who both had need at wr, have given up on him in his first 2 years after being the #40 pick. Being an eagles fan, I hope he ends up in Dallas.

Another reminder that the highest value of your rookie draft picks is often on draft day.

KC. They brought him in for an interview pre draft. Pederson who was at KC traded for him when he became HC in Philly. KC lost Maclin so why not bring in a guy they liked before? That said, he's probably not football smart and won't make it wherever he goes unless he figures out a way to get past his learning difficulties.

DGB was always high risk, high reward. The issue was that a lot of people significantly underplayed the risk variable. It was astonishing seeing some of the capital invested in this guy. He had not shown nearly enough to warrant the status he was receiving either. Can't say I'm surprised at all at where he's ended up. He will get another shot though. Wouldn't surprise me if the Jets tried to give it to him. He could actually get playing time too.

ASJ, DGB. The Jets love washed up players with a nice short catch phrase name.

I've had him as a Devy since he was at Mizzou in one league. It's all been downhill since that Kentucky game. Got my hopes up with the Titans but I can no longer consider myself a truther.

He is the classic terrific athlete but bad football player. polar opposite to a guy like Landry.
NFL career is probably over after 2 seasons where he had ample opportunity to impress with depleted depth charts.

He should go to lunch w/ CMike near the practice facility of some NFL team so as to be caught in a photo that spreads like wildfire thru the fantasy football world..:you know what, invite J Gordon, too!

He was a gamble from the start...it didn't work out
