One of my luckiest moves has to be from last year's rookie draft. My friend and I co-own a team and we had the 5th pick. Sterling Shepard was the typical pick at that point and Michael Thomas was usually going 6th, but he is a Saints fan and we said we'd rather draft a player for a team we can root for. Sure enough we took Thomas and lucked into a guy that is now valued as a top 10 asset. The jury is still very much out on these guys, but still very lucky so far.

Also, this is a superflex league and we snagged Carson Wentz at 2.05 and picked up Dak for free right after the draft.

drafted him in the 37th round of the DLF IDP startup in 2011. Pure dumb luck. Obviously I liked him enough to grab him, but I won't even try to take credit for it.

Trades.... moved Ronnie Hillman during a stretch where he looked like he was taking over in Denver plus Rueben Randle for Alshon, who I then flipped with a 2nd for Antonio Brown

Draft.... contract league... used two 5th round rookie picks on Gronk and Hernandez (which means a salary that is almost free for 5 years). Completely set one of my dynasties in motion to be a top 3 finisher for the last few years

Worst... gave up Ajayi and a 2nd to take a shot on Joseph Randle as he was looking good behind that Dallas O-line

I'm in a 48 team league (4 copies of each player).

As soon as Calvin hinted at retirement last year, I had a trade partner lined up that didn't buy in.

I "unloaded" Calvin for the straight up low price of Doug Baldwin.

And during our championship match this past season, I met that owner in week 16. Winner takes the 48 team crown. His team put up massive points early, but Doug Baldwin blew up that week and helped to seal my comeback victory and the crown

Top rbs are very expensive in our league and at this time Hill was a young proven top rb, so i got this offer for my hill. parker wasnt on the field and dj was still the backup, but he had some flashes and six tds so far, so i took the deal, especially because i thought his 1st could be early.

David Johnson RB ARI (rank: 1-7-1)

During 2013 rookie draft in my main league, I had pick 3.01 one of the guys wanted the pick and he offered me his 3.9, 3.11 and DeAngelo Williams. I picked Kelce, Latavius Murray with the picks. DeAngelo didn't do much in 14, it's a deep roster league and I held on to him. Come 2015 conference championship game, playing the same guy I have traded with, my starting RB's were DeAngelo/Lat Murray & Hightower(picked off waivers), I win and went on to win the championship game with the same 3 RB's all 3 of them killing it that week.

My luckiest dynasty moment is when I stumbled upon DLF and it's great content, updated rankings and ADP, and the most active and knowledgeable dynasty forum community on the internet!

(dear DLF admins, you can send me a PM for directions on where to send that endorsement check  )

2008 I traded 1.6 and Marvin Harrison to the guy who had Lendell "stay puff" White for 1.5 and took CJ2k. Took 3 of 5 championships after that. Oh by the way Harrison never players a down of ball after that. And he had to take Kevin Smith with the 1.6. Ouch
Also traded Payton Hillis and the 1.10 for 1.3 and guess who I took......JULIO. 😍
I only play in 16x53 with 10+ taxi size leagues with full IDP. All are PPR and most value return yardage. So my opinions may be skewed To these deep roster leagues.

Dynasty Fantasy is not a game, it’s a full time hobby.

Ah, LenWhale. I forgot about him.
Dynasty player since 2002.
I probably should have done something more productive with that time...

A few years ago I sold high on Ryan Torain for a future 1st...that pick turned into 1.01... which I then used on TRich lol

Another one is this year, as soon as I saw that Lynch might go play for OAK I scooped him up just in case, like within a minute. Didn't think it would actually happen but sure enough it did and now my RBs went from weak to average just from reading a Roto blurb

Almost traded Mike Evans for Tre Mason week 8 of 2014. I revoked it because the guy wanted a 3rd as well. Thank God.
