The great thing about Henry is you can win in multiple ways.
A. DeMarco is injured you profit immediately
B. DeMarco plays the entire year and you still have the same level of intrigue in Henry if not more than today

I'm not sure I agree with B. I see a lot of people are starting to sour on Henry's long term prospects and see him as an expensive & risky investment. Some people have a hard time seeing the end the rainbow with Murray playing so well and it's hard to blame them for worrying about it.

He's worth the 1.6 in my view, so sure, if you can swing it.
Well it snagged. He wants 1.06 + DT for Henry+1.11+late 2018 3rd. That seems fairly rich for me, I'd think I'd be getting the 1.06 if I'm moving DT. Maybe I'm off though

I've been trying to get Henry for the team in the sig and the offer is currently Parker and the 2017 13th pick. Would anyone pull the trigger on that or sit tight? I'm pretty set for the present, but am trying to get a RB to funnel in when Shady is gone.

I'm not a Parker truther so I'd seriously consider it. If you had Murray it'd be a lock for me, but there's a good chance he's not going to be as startable this year as say Woodhead. At the 13th you're looking at one of Perine, Foreman, Hunt, Kamara, Joe Williams. With Perine and Hunt being less likely. Foreman would be a good pick and is similar to Henry's situation in my eyes, but without a cowbell in front of him.

All that said. Parker is going into the 2nd year of a system that was talked about taking a year to understand, is pretty hyped, and his biggest competition is a small badass slot WR and a boom/bust deep threat. Parker progressed last year and came out and said he really didn't take personal nutrition as serious as he now knows he should. I like the personal growth there. I do believe that he has 1,000 yard potential this year.

On Henry, while I want him to protect my Murray interest, he won't start unless Murray is hurt. He may have value this year, but it might be better to just wait until week four when the owner is looking at another long year of not startable play. He could be cheaper then.

So now that my drunk message is muddled, I would not be willing to add pick 13 to a WR with high upside that could be viewed in the top 10 next year. One main reason is because a similar back can be taken with that pick with a similar run minded team. I don't think he'd help you enough this year for that haul. Basically long story short, if you believe Parker can be a 1,000 yard WR it's not worth it, if you don't believe he can improve then it is. I've changed my mind three times in this 10 minute period, but I think the argument is sound. Both ways ha, sorry man

Have to agree parker/2.01 is more than i would give up for henry.
Juat think parker has a much better chance to boost his value in 2017 than henry

Yeah that is a ridiculous price. Like far out crazy...as DT for sure should be valued over Henry

It's funny cause DT is definitely worth more but if someone offered me him for Henry I wouldn't be interested

It's crazy potential vs real production values like this that remind me of Ben Tate

Evan Silva said that on Matt Kelley's show recently. I respect Evan Silva and see the similarities between situations...but Ben Tate was not a similar prospect to Derrick Henry. Give me Henry's epic college production over Ben Tate's gold medal in the underwear olympics every time.

Postby Plank » Tue Sep 19, 2017 7:37 pm

Who else thinks Henry is about to take over?

Should be fun watching Henry next few weeks... Think anyone who wanted to buy Henry might be too late after this week end .. get those offers out this week :)

I'm sure Derek Henry is who he is talking about.

Think Murray's gonna be out a few weeks?

Well, the time would've been before Sunday. If you're trying to buy right now, good luck. Mularkey has said that he still views Murray as the starter, but he's just injured. But, it's hard to believe that if Henry gets a full load (if Murray misses time) and performs well, that he won't stick with the hot hand.
