Let's project sterling shepard's 2017 stats

Postby austing » Thu Jun 22, 2017 12:59 am

I'm going with 68/750/6 for 179 ppr fantasy points. Seems like a ceiling would be not be much higher than this however with Marshall and Engram in town. What are your projections?

40/500/3.

I think Marshal really eats into his production this year.

Oh man, that's a tough one. I feel like his low YPR last year will prove to be a fluke or part of his NFL learning curve. I know he plays out of the slot a lot, but I still expect him to hover around 13 ypr for most of his prime. But I agree that the presence of Marshall will really hurt his target share. It should draw some coverage, though, so I'm guessing his catch % and ypr increase.

80 targets x 65% = 52 rec x 13 ypr = 676 yards
Guessing at TDs is always an exercise in futility, but I'll put him at 5 TDs

Disclaimer: I like Shepard and own him in at least 1 league

Id probably be somewhere in line with you on rec and yds but I'll drop my td projection down to 3

I don't own him anywhere (or OBJ/Marshall/Engram)

50-575-4

figure 11.5 yards per catch is reasonable since coverages will have to draw more towards Marshall and Engram than anyone Shep and OBJ were playing with last year but they'll be more competition for him in the RZ so from 8 TDs last year to 4 this year seems about right

traded Shepard for Maclin and a 3rd the day after Maclin got cut by KC

He had 65/683/8 last year with little competition. I say those numbers go down closer to 50/500/4.

As a Maclin owner I may end sending this over to the SS owner. Not a bad deal at all.

I would guess Manning has around 4400 yards. His first 2 years with OBJ were in that range, and he should at least be better than last year. I would guess around 1300 yards for OBJ and 900 yards for Marshall. Vereen coming back is another underrated factor. He had 495 yards receiving in his first year with the Giants.

I think SS, Engram, and Vereen are gonna be closely bunched as the 3-5th option, all having around 500 yards: 45/475/3-5 TDs this year for Shepard is my guess.
Dynasty player since 2002.
I probably should have done something more productive with that time...
