Looking to Win Now? Acquire These Players
Far too often, we get caught up in collecting the shiny new toy in Dynasty Leagues while losing sight of the ultimate goal - to win championships. We all love building rosters comprised of young, promising talent with a vision in mind to build a true dynasty. We lose sight of what matters most when the players hit the field in September - production & fantasy points. With that being said, here are a few players in which their 2017 production will outperform their overall value:
-Demaryius Thomas: As a Denver fan, I can tell you that DThomas is in for a big season. Vance Joseph - the new Head Coach - immediately challenged DT to dominate games, and all OTA / Minicamp reports have stated that DT has responded very well to his Head Coach's challenge. He's also reunited with his old Coach Mike McCoy, who funneled much of his offense in Denver through DThomas. People are worried about the QB situation in Denver, but the offense should be much improved with investments made along the offensive line and even a little projected growth from their young QB's. Buy at a discount and enjoy another 3 - 4 seasons of top15 production.
-Pierre Garcon: 113 / 1,346 / 5. This was Garcon's stat line in his last season with Kyle Shanahan. Shanahan has a long track record of feeding his #1 WR, as does Brian Hoyer as the starting QB. Garcon has next-to-no competition for targets for a San Fran team that should spend plenty of time trailing their opponents. It probably won't be efficient and he may struggle to score a lot of TD's, but I see 90+ / 1000+ / 5+ as a very realistic projection for Garcon over the next 2 seasons. He's obviously not young, but I think people are overplaying the age card - he's just 30 years old.
-Kenny Britt: Someone has to catch the ball in Cleveland, right? Coleman is unproven and has yet to stay healthy in his early career. Meanwhile, Britt put up a very respectable 68 / 1,000 / 5 last season in one of the worst offenses of this century. He's actually just 28 years old even though it feels like he's going into his 12th season. I expect 75 / 1,000 / 6+ this season, with some upside in Hue Jackson's offense.
-Jimmy Graham: It took him a little while, but he finally returned to the physical beast that he was pre-injury last season. While all of the new, young, rookie TE's are the flavor of the month, I'd gladly trade Njoku / Engram and maybe even Howard for Graham if my team was competing. Graham is still just 30 years old and plays a position that seems to age well. Even with Graham's physical style of play, he should be able to produce 3 - 5 more TE 1 seasons.
-Adrian Peterson: Off-season reports over the past few weeks may have driven up AP's price, but he could still be worth a buy for a team looking to compete. I wouldn't be surprised if Ingram is a surprise trade / cut candidate over the next few months, and Kamara is still a Rookie. Playing with Drew Brees and that offense could do wonders for AP. If he stays healthy, he's a real threat for 10+ TD's even if the total carries & yards aren't what you'd hope for.
So, who would you add to this list?

Shhh...giving away these secrets is like gold. Hopefully no one in my leagues sees this post.
But in all seriousness I couldn't agree more. These are the type of guys that win championships.

My PPR dynasties (QB/RB/WR/TE/FL):
Under construction...just noticed teams I had shown were very different than where they are now (lots of trading last 12 months). LOL

Re: Looking to Win Now? Acquire These Players
I agree with DT and Jimmy Graham, but the others are difficult to buy into. I can see Garcon having a decent year, but I don't trust that 49ers offense. Britt finally showed up last year, but I'm not willing to pay to see if he can replicate that again. As for AP, love the player and the talent (past?), but he also hasn't done anything in a couple of years and it's hard to expect anything big from him. Don't buy the offseason hype about how good a player looks this time of year. I've even said before, I expect AP to start off strong and maybe have a few good games, but not sure how consistent he'll be and if he'll be able to maintain for 16 games.

I agree with most of the list. I agree the most with Garçon, he's going to be a target monster on that team and can be had late in startups.

Re: Looking to Win Now? Acquire These Players
I agree with your list, though Garcon seems to be a very trendy pickup/trade target pretty much everywhere i look. Not that his price will be high, but it is definitely well past the point of getting a potentially great deal on him. He is on waivers in a couple leagues of mine since they lock end of fantasy playoffs (fairly shallow rosters being the main reason). I am curious to see how high he goes in rookie drafts.

I love seeing this, because I try to be in win-now mode every season in all of my leagues. I own DT in multiple places and Jimmy and Garcon in my big 32-team league. I'd actually say Ingram instead of AP, and I'd add CJA, Delanie Walker (though I don't own him), and Julian Edelman to the list.

Pretty much seems like a which old mo fo veterans to buy thread. With that said:
QB: Big Ben, Eli, Flacco
RB: Beast Mode, AP, Gore
WR: B. Marshall, Fitz, Decker
TE: Jimmy, Martellus, Witten
A bunch more guys I'd buy at the right price combined with need.

Love the idea of getting Baldwin for your win now team. He's the same age as AB and like AB is one of 4 WRs to be a WR1 in back-to-back seasons, but you can get him for a single first in many places. Cheapest WR1 in history.
I like Woodhead as a solid flex RB fill-in because he adds redzone prowess to his PPR numbers and can be had cheaply.
I would suggest Crow as well but he seems to be getting expensive. Lacy might be cheaper in many leagues and he's more talented and on a better team.

I'll add second votes to both Woodhead & Blount.
Still hesitant to recommend AP. Not sure why.
