I did something similar. I had Johnson ranked higher, but I had 1.12 and 2.02 and thought DJ would fall to 2.02. Of course, he went 2.01.

Back in 2014, early in the season, I traded OBJ, ARob and Reed for Jimmy Graham. The forum even liked the trade at the time!

Time heals all wounds. Also, that league went through enough changes that it held a new startup draft, so that helped.

Traded my OBJ for Josh Gordon

I can relate, and mine's even a bit worse. Mid-ish OCT 2014, I was offered OBJ/'15 2nd for Josh Gordon and declined.

OBJ had just got onto the field after dealing with hammy/groin issues (or whatever it was) and hadn't yet had his first breakout game. On the other hand Gordon's suspension was 1-2 weeks from being over and I thought he'd be the piece to put me over the top for a title.

I had bought Gordon for a future 2nd (which was scraps at the time) the day after his July DUI when his owner had had enough of him. Since I had almost nothing invested in Gordon, I was perfectly content to gamble on him in hopes that he'd at least look something close to what he did in '13, and I felt like I was playing with house money with him. Fast forward 5-6 weeks and OBJ was on a historical rookie WR run and quickly becoming THE #1 dynasty asset while Gordon was sucking it up to the point that I didn't even want to start him. I ended up selling Gordon once he got suspended again, but I can't even begin to remember what I got for him.
