I think people are sleeping on Prosise
I really believe C. J. Prosise is the back to own in Seattle...In my eyes he is so much better than Lacy and it isn't close..If he stays healthy I think you are looking at a 3 down back..He just looks like he has it to me..Of course injuries are a concern, but if he is healthy I do not think the production between Prosise and Lacy will be close..
I just had to get that off my chest.

There's nothing from Prosise that leads me to believe he's better than Lacy when they're both healthy.

Are you serious? Were you only paying attention to him late in the season? He sustained 3 different injuries to three different parts of his body last year...... alone. He also sustained injuries in college.benpickering44 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 11, 2017 8:00 pmbecause 1 injury means he is made of glass right?HereForTheComments wrote: ↑Sun Jun 11, 2017 7:11 pm Maybe, but injuries are a real concern for him. PPR value & the potential to be a lead back.
Lacys health is tied to his weight & overall care to be a professional athlete. I'll gladly take any of the other Seattle Rbs over him.

Re: I think people are sleeping on Prosise
Agreed with you and Giles above.
Even last year at godknowswhatactualbodyweighthewasrunningaroundat (guessing 260?!), Lacy was averaging 5+ ypc, and despite his fitness issues his power, vision and quick feet were still there (the feet were far more sluggish than say his first 2 seasons to be fair).
A healthy, 240lb Lacy has the lead back role on lock. The problem becomes that it's been some time since we last saw Lacy both healthy and around 240lbs.

Re: I think people are sleeping on Prosise
Agreed. I like Prosise for a decent complimentary role but not as the featured back this year. Lacy was brought in specifically for that purpose to try to make up for Carroll's bumbling of the backfield last season by cutting Michael when Rawls got healthy.
If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.

Re: I think people are sleeping on Prosise
I don't think people are sleeping on Prosise. Most are expecting him to catch passes and be moved around the formation to exploit mismatches. He's not a feature RB. Lacy will get first shot at that, but if there is anyone people are sleeping on it's Rawls.
I'm not saying that because I own him, but not many are giving him much of a shot at relevance from what I've read. Granted, between Lacy/Rawls/Prosise they've all been injured quite a bit. It could be the last one standing that's most successful in 2017. But I agree with Skip about Seattle not wanting to get caught without depth at RB. I think they're carrying 8 RB's at present.

His current ADP has in right at about 1.12 or 2.01. I don't think I'd pay that, so I'm inclined to say the community isn't sleeping on him.
But if he's your guy, go get'm. Prove the community wrong.

Re: I think people are sleeping on Prosise
Yea, good luck with that. Backfield like this I stay completely away from. Last year people didn't know who to draft out of Prosise or Collins, and you still had Rawls in the mix so nobody knew who was the guy to invest in. This year they were so pleased with all 3 backs they decided to sign fat Eddie Lacy, who isn't a special teams player or a 3rd down back, is a guy you sign when you want to feed him the ball. Now the situation is even more cluttered. Everyone thinks whoever they own is the guy. There is way to much musical chairs and will never be much week to week consistency to rely on any guy. I'm happy to not have any of my team.
Reminds me of GB this year, they go and draft two RBs and still have Montgomery. I don't want any parts of a mash unit at RB, if these teams decide who "the guy" is gonna be I'll gladly wait to see who and pay accordingly. But by their own actions these teams don't even know who their main bell cow will be so how can any of us know?

Re: I think people are sleeping on Prosise
I think it is clearly lacy's job to lose. He fits the mold of Lynch which is the most recent feature back Seattle has relied heavily on. If they were happy with Rawls they wouldnt have gone out and grabbed Lacy.
I said this last year but Rawls was a flash in the pan. CJ has potential but I see this as Lacy's job until further notice.

Re: I think people are sleeping on Prosise
I love Prosise's explosiveness when he is in the game. He is dangerous wherever he is on the field, mostly because of his pass catching abilities however. While pass catching RBs are great to own, Seattle was the most dominant when they had a back to pound the defense and wear them down. Lacy fits that Lynch mold the best on the team at this moment and think it's his job to lose. Prosise will have value, but we have to remember he is still learning the nuances of the RB position.
