Enunwa Value

Postby Jangles » Wed Jun 07, 2017 6:56 am

What would you value Enunwa in picks or players?

Is this his peak value? or should you hold on to him and hope to deal him mid-season to a WR desperate playoff contender? Any other Enunwa thoughts?

I'd value him somewhere around a mid to low WR2, and don't think he has enough upside to flirt with WR1 status. I'd put his rookie pick value somewhere in the #18 to #24 range.

The Jets may be setting themselves up for a high draft pick in 2018, with the assumption that their future franchise QB will be available. If the Vegas over/under on them is anywhere around 6 wins, I may consider taking the under.

I agree with that pick range for sure. If he finishes the year in that WR2 range, i would definitely be happy with that.... and yea id pound the under for jets wins if its set at 4!

I would hold all day if that's all he is being valued as. His value can only go up this season once he has a few big games. The jets have a paper thin WR core so he will have his chances all year long.

Be surprised if the over/under is more than 3.5...2.5 might still be an under for me
I own him a few places but I would sell sell sell...they are going to be terrible and may not even be good enough to capitalize on garbage time

I'm holding as well. WR2 value is possible and you are unlikely to get that type of return in the short or long term from a WR in that late 2nd range. Also don't forget the Sir Quincy is in a contract year. If he shows well, he could luck into a better situation next year. Bare minimum, the Jets should be a better situation next year than this year

I dunno guys. I think I would sell for any 2nd I could get. I don't see him being a number one WR. He is going to be matched up against the top CBs this year and I don't see him outproducing his 850 receiving yards from last year. I think his value goes back down this year. Maybe he is a hold in hopes that he goes to a better team next year, as a 2nd WR somewhere.

I lean closer to this opinion. It's going to be a dumpster fire in NY this season and if I'm looking for more, I'm banking on him becoming a WR1 on another team next season. I think I'll take a 2nd.

Could be a Terrelle Pryor type of situation.

I think he's worth an early 2nd but no one will pay that considering who their QBs are.

He can be beastly...He boxes out like a power forward going for a rebound, and he's strong. He will be a chain-mover, especially in games when they are playing catch-up (alot). He's going to be pelted with targets and I think he will do better than most are predicting. And as was stated above, looking towards next year and his opportunity/landing spot is interesting enough for me to hold instead of a second.

Do you know how many times the Jets are going to need to throw the ball just to keep things competitive. With Powell as his biggest competition for targets, we should see a lot of garbage time production from Quincy.

I'm not seeing very many people stepping up to the plate in support of Quincy's overall talent as a wide receiver. Most of the arguments in favor of him are due to the lack of other receiving talent on the team and the opinion that the Jets are generally horrible.

Valuations based on these types of things do not make me want to run out and offer a 1st round pick. However, there may be someone in my league (or yours) that would pay a decent rookie pick for this type of situation.

If I were looking to buy, then I stand by the earlier statement of #18 and up. If I were selling, then I'd hope to find someone that wants to take more but may ultimately accept a #18 - #24.

I would hold him for right now. He's going to be the #1 option and should be a decent flex play. You should be able to get more during the season when other owners need WR help. If I were to move him, I'd rather package him with something else and go after bigger fish. Swapping him for a 2nd, is at best an even swap and you might regret it later if he has a good season.
