Anyone buying James now? Is he a sell if you've got him?
What would be a good return?

Re: Steelers release Ladarius Green
If you could find someone to give you a future 2nd for him I'd be all over that. I might even sell for a 3rd, but I'm not a believer that he'll become a weekly starting option.CharlieKelly wrote: ↑Thu May 18, 2017 4:50 pm Anyone buying James now? Is he a sell if you've got him?

So you're holding the guy who failed the physical and getting rid of the guy with an actual shot at a starting TE Role?Fantasyfanatic11 wrote: ↑Thu May 18, 2017 12:35 pm He's a definite hold now....
I'd also be selling all my Jesse James shares now with the hype build up.

Re: Steelers release Ladarius Green
exactly arrylT ... what is that all about ? he is done period . There is no chance of the steelers letting him go if he had a chance of helping them win. Big ben is on the white flag lap or checkered flag lap of his career and the window is nearly closed if green had any chance he would still be a steeler .To quickly save anyone from wasting a roster spot on grimble , james will be on the field a lot because he blocks . At no point IF grimble is on the field will he ever be more than the 5th option in the passing game . If james were to go down they will play an oline as the TE in the running game and just go 4 wide on passing downs or have bell and conner on the field at the same time since bell is such a good receiver he could line up in the slot. James I would say is in line for 50 catches for about 500 yards and 5 or 6 tds . Not flashy but you could do worse for a free TE2.

Re: Steelers release Ladarius Green
I wouldn't be surprised to see Juju getting a lot of the targets that would otherwise go to TEs. James will be a red zone target and I like CC's suggestion above for about 50/500, but he'll be in to block a lot too.
Re: Steelers release Ladarius Green
Ladarius Green was massively hyped with some statistical gymnastics after the 2013 season. 3 years of disappointment and now he isn't even on a roster. It's time to cut bait.

James is a roster clogger in 12 team leagues, IMO
Throw him OTB and see what you can get
I don't think he'll put up much, especially if the killer B's are all healthy this year. He'll be lucky to be the 5th option on any given play.

Steelers have been desperate for a receiving tight end so the dude must be finished.

Re: Steelers release Ladarius Green
I've got a twenty that says Grimble will not even come close to James.
Re: Steelers release Ladarius Green
Classic case of over hyping on L.Green and under the radar TE 2 in James.
I agree with the above ^. I highly doubt Grimble beats out James. It is quite unlikely in that offense. Anyway, A very young TE2 in James in a 12 team league - isn't a roster clogger. I don't think I can think of 18-20 other TE's that are definitively more valuable in a dynasty format. I think some are undervaluing J.James in that offense. He is a great blocker and will be on the field for most of Pittsburgh's offensive snaps. I agree with the projection of around 50 grabs for around 400-500 yds and even though TD's are tough to predict; I could easily see 4-6 Td's out of him.
*** not a roster clogger*** The real roster clogger in this thread is L.Green. Not the actual starting TE that will receive passes from Big ben for the next 2 ish seasons.

James reminds me of Cameron Brate; opportunity is there, he is mediocre at best but for some reason people actually value him.

Re: Steelers release Ladarius Green
Honestly Ladarius Green was trending in the direction of Apollo Creed and straightup dying on the field. Enough is enough with the concussions, the Steelers are straightup starved at the position and just didn't think it would be a good look to see this guy carried off the field on their watch. They are saving him from himself by cutting him. I doubt he plays another down of football, maybe he signs up for that flag football sideshow thing Michael Vick and Justin Forsett are doing.
